Description
highly absorbent treatment, designed to heal patients suffering from acute and chronic injuries effectively managing exudates, improving pain management and wound healing. MaxioCel can be used for injuries from moderate to strongly exudatory of various depth, shape and size. Therefore, the device is extremely suitable for decubital wounds, ulcers of different etiology, skin escoriations, burns, surgical wounds, other types of treatments of infected wounds, in some cases it was also used with satisfactory results for localized injuries on the foot of diabetic patients.
The device has a patent Bioactive Microfiber Gelling Technology (BMG). The mechanism of action of the dressing provides a unique technology of gelling fibers that use the chitosan to maintain a cohesive structure increasing the management of fluids, with its antimicrobial and mild emostase properties actively contributes to the healing of wounds.
The dressing is extremely versatile with high absorbent power, retains the exudate and protects the peri-lesional skin from tissue maceration. Antimicrobial and anti-biofilm action promotes faster healing by improving patient comfort in terms of pain reduction and also aesthetics through a noticeable reduction of scar.
The MaxioCel has a moisture resistance about 3 times greater than traditional gelling medications, remains completely intact during the change of dressing and can be removed easily and painless. Also during the dispersion test, the dressing did not show proof of loss of integrity and separation of fibers from the structure of the original tissue.
Mode of use
1. Always follow aseptic techniques while taking a wound.
2. Irrigate and clean the site of the wound.
3. Open the MaxioCel envelope and cut, fold or overlay the dressing to fit the wound.
4. Cover and fix with proper secondary dressing.
5. To remove it, sprinkle with saline/water solution and detach it gently.
6. Remove slowly and eliminate the dressing.

Warnings
The product does not have contraindications.
Can be used safely on patients who have shown allergic reactions or sensitive to crustaceans.
MAXIOCEL medication is not absorbable. It is not recommended for the surgical system and for the control of severe bleeding. Sterility is ensured unless the case is damaged.
Conservation
Store at room temperature and away from heat sources.
