Description
Medical device powder for oral solution. It can be taken in case of occasional irregular bowel and is particularly indicated in chronic constipation.
Macro-Lax 4000 helps the natural balance of intestinal functions; has a laxative action, which through a physical mechanism recalls water softening so feces making evacuation easier. This encourages a sense of well-being and relief. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, it does not irritate the mucosa of the gastro-intestinal tract and is eliminated in the feces in unmodified form. It generally does not cause cramps, abdominal pain or meteorism. Its effectiveness is not reduced over time.
Cacity to rehydrate and soften the hard feces, facilitating evacuation and giving a feeling of relief. Gopeg has a fissure mechanism and performs its action gently: it is not absorbed by the body, it is eliminated in form not catalyzed and does not give rise to the production of gas.

Mode of use
The contents of a sachet (10 g) should be dissolved in approximately 150 ml (corresponding to a glass) of water or other drinks such as tea, juices, milk, stirring up to obtain a homogeneous solution. Drink the solution.
It should be diluted with a drink to taste, cold or hot (about 150 ml): for example a glass of water, fruit juice, tea or even milk, mixing a homogeneous solution.
The appropriate dose is sufficient to produce the regular evacuation of soft feces and must be adapted according to the observed effects. Varia from 1 sachet to alternate days (especially for pediatric use) up to 2 sachets per day.
When a regular defecation is reached, the dosage must be reduced to 1 sachet per day or to alternate days.
The maximum daily dose can reach 20 g and can be taken in one administration.
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 20 g.
Children
For patients aged 2, the recommended dose is 0.7 g/kg.
Up to 20 kg of weight, the dosage must be measured by body weight according to the doctor's instructions.
Pregnant or nursing women:
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies, so do not take the product during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding.
Warnings
Do not take the product in case of:
- hypersensitivity to macrogol 4000;
- drilling and/or gastrointestinal obstruction.

Special precautions to take
As with all laxatives, before starting the treatment you must exclude the presence of organic disorders.
The product can be taken for prolonged periods but if the symptomatology persists despite the associated dietary measures, the advice of a doctor is necessary to exclude underlying pathologies.
It can be used from 2 years of age.
The product shows its efficacy after 48 hours from its intake and can be used for maximum treatment of 30 days. Its formulation containing only macrogol 4000 makes it suitable for patients who need a low sodium, galactose-free and gluten-free diet.
The absence of flavourings and sweeteners does not alter the taste of the drink. The product is disposable, do not use the sachets in part or already open. Do not use the device in a different way than the one indicated by the manufacturer.
Excessive doses of the product can result in diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension and vomiting, which resolve when you stop treatment or reduce your dose.
Under these circumstances, you should contact your doctor.
Conservation
Store the original packaging in a cool and dry place.
The indicated expiry date refers to the product in the package and correctly preserved.
Do not use the product after the specified expiry date.
