Descrizione Clinica
Actreen Lite
Description
Sterile hydrophilic self-lubricating catheter ready to use NO TOUCH, for intermittent catheterism. For its features Actreen Lite is easy to use, lightweight, compact and safe. It makes emptying the bladder simple and safe in every place. The packaging, in a single casing, makes it extremely practical and easy to handle and immediate use.
The "NO TOUCH" sheath also ensures the possibility of making a truly safe catheterism, even in situations where there is no possibility of taking advantage of a proper hygienic standard.
The catheter is of simple preparation as it is sufficient to remove the sheath at the base of the connector and that at its end. The catheter is ready for use.
Actreen Lite consists of a type Nelaton or Tiemann PVC catheter with hydrophilic coating consisting of glycerin and water, already ready to use. The hydrophilic coating allows to eliminate activation times and guarantees a reduced friction coefficient, for the duration of catheterism, allowing easy and safe insertion and an atraumatic extraction.
The high hydration of the coating avoids any risk of catetere adhesion to the urethral wall; this is particularly beneficial during the extraction maneuver in subjects that, for particular functional limitations, need long times to carry out self-cateterism.
The catheter appears completely and uniformly lubricated, already ready for use and without the need for other additional maneuvers to induce lubrication (activation of the hydrophilic substrate). Thanks to the hygroscopic effect of glycerin, the B. Braun catheter retains its hydration level for more than an hour.
It has atraumatic holes with beveled and smooth corners to allow quick release of urine. The sheath in thermowelded and pre-cut polyethylene allows you to manage the catheter without touching it with your hands (NO TOUCH technology). This sheath allows a better grip of the catheter by all users, even those with poor dexterity and favors a reduction of possible bacterial contamination during catheterism. The end of the catheter has a fitting cone with the normal urine collection bags.
The removal of the sheath at both the distal end and the proximal end is facilitated by the presence of special eyelets, which allow an easy removal even to users with limited manualness. The sheath has an additional precut portion near the base of the catheter, in the female version and 2/3 of the length of the catheter, in the man version. There is therefore the possibility to remove a larger portion of the sheath in the case, the poor manualness of the user, made the sheath folding manoeuvre difficult on itself, during catheterism.
Conservation
Store at temperature not less than 0°C and not more than 25°C. Keep away from direct sources of light and heat.
