BACtrack Trace
Description
The BACtrack etylometer is an etylometer, used to detect alcohol in the breath. BACtrack provides a digital result indicating the BAC (blood content) approximate in the tested subject. BACtrack is powered by two AAA batteries and is very simple to use. Just turn on the unit and you can start the test in seconds.
However, before starting the test, there are some things to know. For this reason we ask to take a few minutes to read the user manual in its entirety and familiarize yourself with BACtrack.
Mode of use
Test subjects should wait 20 minutes after eating, drinking or smoking before blowing in the BACtrack etylometer. Failure to wait for 20 minutes can cause incorrect test results and damage the sensor.
STEP 1: Insert the mouthpiece into the appropriate housing. Don't force, the mouthpiece should only be inserted for a few inches.
STEP 2: Press on the BACtrack screen will immediately appear the total number of tests performed, and then start the countdown.
STEP 3: When the countdown reaches 2, start breathing deeply.
STEP 4: When the countdown reaches zero, it will flash the word “START” and the screen will show three lines.
Blow in your mouth for five seconds until you hear a double beep.
STEP 5: Once the sensor has analyzed the expirated air sample, the estimated BAC value will appear on the screen.
The BACtrack etylometer will automatically turn off after 15-20 seconds. You can also turn off the etylometer during the countdown, holding the start button for 3 seconds.
NEWS OF ERROUR
If the subject does not blow a sufficient sample of air, the LCD screen will show the word “FLo”. Press start to restart the countdown and repeat the test.
If air is not blown within 15 seconds, the LCD screen will show “Out” writing. Press start to restart the countdown and repeat the test.
If the unit is started outside the allowed temperature range (0-40°C or 32-104°F) the unit will show Out°F writing and the test cannot be performed.
If the battery indicator on the screen is empty, insert two new AAA alkaline batteries. If the unit shows the word “Err2” after step 4, it means that an excessive amount of saliva entered the sensor during the test. Wait 20 minutes and try again.

4. Avoid testing in the presence of any substance containing methanol, propanol or acetone.
These substances can interfere with the test results.
5. Replace the two AAA batteries when the battery indicator symbol shows a bar.
6. Send the tester to the calibration service as required (see Calibration).
