D
AURICAL GOCCE
Description
Auricular drops whose action is based on the osmotic properties of glycerol.
The main component is glycerol.
The glycerol used in the ear drops has two main features: the oily consistency of glycerol makes it adhere gently to the skin at the point of application and is responsible for its projective properties, and the hygroscopicity of glycerol, administered by topical means, allows the removal of water held in the tissues (osmotic effect), reducing swelling and thus alleviating pain.
The glycerol contained in the medical device softens the cerume, facilitates its expulsion and, due to its ability to absorb water, removes excess liquids (osmotic effect) from the tissues of the auditory duct, favoring the elimination of disorders that occur in conditions of inflammation such as pain and swelling in the ear.
Glycerol has a causal effect. Lidocaine is a coadjuvant agent employed as a local anesthetic, which intensifies the action of glycerol as well as alleviate pain in the ear.
Cerumina Dol has a coadjuvant effect in the following cases: inflammatory conditions characterized by swelling, pain and itching of the external ear canal; ailments accompanied by pain caused by regular exposure to water and moisture, for example in the pool; ailments accompanied by pain caused by prolonged use of headphones or cerums that obstructs the external ear canal; ailments accompanied by pain caused by frequent use of detergents that determine the natural membrane that protects the external ear canal, such as shampoos, soaps, gels.
