Descrizione Clinica
Remote infrared thermometer
Description
The device is an infrared thermometer designed to measure the temperature of the front in infants and adults without the need for contact with the human body.
It can be used both by consumers in the home environment, and by doctors in clinics.
The thermometer is powered by two AA type batteries (DC 3V).
LCD display and infrared lens.
The thermometer is preset in BODY mode. The surface temperature differs from the body temperature. To obtain body temperature, always use the BODY mode. When measuring the temperature of a bottle for children or a bathtub, use the Surface Temp mode. To measure the temperature of a room, use the Room mode.
Technical specifications
- Memory: 32 measurements.
- Measurement distance: 3 cm - 5 cm.
- Automatic shutdown in less than 30 seconds.
- Display temperature: 0.1°C (0.1°F).
- Measurement range:
Body temperature measurement: 32°C - 49°C (89,6°F - 109,2°F).
In BODY mode, the screen features three backlight colours: green, orange and red.
Green: less than 37,3°C (99,1°F), normal temperature.
Orange: 37,4°C - 37,9°C (99,3°F - 100,2°F), low fever.
Red: more than 38°C (100,4°F), high fever.
Surface temperature measurement: 0°C - 60°C (32°F - 140°F).
Environmental temperature measurement: 0°C - 40°C (32°F - 104°F).
The thermometer can detect temperatures below 32°C or above 42.9°C, but accuracy is not guaranteed outside this range.
- Precision:
32°C - 34,9°C (89,6°F - 94,8°F): ±0,3°C (±0,6°F).
35°C - 42°C (95°F - 107,6°F): ±0,2°C (±0,4°F).
42,1°C - 42,9°C (107,8°F - 109,2°F): ±0,3°C (±0,6°F).
Mode of use
Install the batteries. At first use after entering the batteries, wait 10-15 minutes for the device to adapt to the room temperature. Press the On/Scan button, directing it to the center of the front, at a distance of 3-5 cm. Make sure it is set in BODY mode then press the On/Scan button and the temperature is immediately displayed. Before measuring, make sure that hair, sweat or dirt are removed from the front and that the front is well dry. Wait 10 minutes after doing such an operation before measuring.
Terms of use:
Environmental temperature 10°C - 40°C (50°F - 104°F).
Relative humidity less than 85%.
Atmospheric pressure 700 hPa to 1060 hPa.
The reliability of the measurement is not guaranteed if the temperature measurement is carried out on another part of the body (e.g. arm, bust).
Do not move the thermometer until the final value is displayed.
No measurements can be made in places with a large airflow (e.g. wind, air conditioning, fan).
Do not make a measurement immediately after carrying out physical activity, shower, taking medicine, eating or drinking, or making a "cold or warm pack on the forehead". Do not measure when significant changes in environmental conditions have occurred. Wait for the device to adapt to new conditions for 30 minutes before using it again.
Wait from 3 to 5 seconds between measurement and measurement.
It is recommended to perform three measurements on the front. If the three measurements are different, consider the highest value.
Clean the sensor with a cotton cloth, moistened with 95% isopropyl alcohol. Cleaning must be done regularly. For cleaning the entire device, use a soft cloth slightly moistened with warm water and soap or isopropyl alcohol to 70%. In nocase the liquid can enter the thermometer.
Do not use the thermometer for at least 30 minutes until it is completely dry.
Never use aggressive, diluent, petrol or hard brushes.
Warnings
Use the thermometer only after reading and including the operating instructions. Use only for the specific purpose as described in the instruction manual. Any incorrect use will cancel the warranty.
The use of the thermometer cannot replace the consultation of a doctor. Do not use the device for self-diagnosis or assortment of medicines based on measurements made without the advice of a doctor. In particular, do not start using medicines or change the dosage type without prior approval.
Children should not use this thermometer. The device is not a toy.
If this thermometer is stored in a colder or warmer place from the place where it will be used, leave it in the patient's room for at least 30 minutes before measuring.
Do not expose the electric shock thermometer and at extreme temperatures above 55°C (131°F) or below -20°C (-4°F). Do not use the device in case of moisture greater than 85%. Do not expose the thermometer to sunlight, at temperatures too high or too low, dirt or dust.
Don't drop the thermometer.
Do not touch the infrared lens glass with your fingers. The lens is very fragile and could break easily and cause injuries.
Do not use if the thermometer is damaged.
Do not open the thermometer: it contains small parts that can be ingested by children.
Do not immerse the thermometer in water or other liquids. It is not water resistant or tin-tight.
In case of problems in the operation of the device, do not attempt to repair it independently, this would cause the warranty to be annulled. Contact your dealer and only get reopened by authorized service partners.
Remove batteries if you do not have to use them for a prolonged period of time. Otherwise there is the danger that the batteries can damage.
Maintain the thermometer away from electromagnetic fields produced by devices such as microwave ovens, welders, induction devices.
A control measurement with a conventional thermometer is recommended in the following cases:
- if the reading is surprisingly low;
- for infants up to 100 days;
- for children under three years of age with a weak immune system or who react unusually in the presence or not of fever.
- if you are using the thermometer for the first time or you want to familiarize yourself with it.
Conservation
Store at a temperature between -20°C and +55°C, in a clean and dry environment, away from sunlight or from temperatures too high or too low.
Validity of whole packaging: 60 months.
