Insti-Cath
Medical device CE 0086, class I sterile.Disposable hydrophilic urinary catheter for intermittent instillation of the bladder. The surface of the catheter is made with Urotonic Surface Technology: the combination of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), salt (NaCl) and added water, makes the coating of the LoFric Insti-Cath isotonic catheter with urine, after activation. Sterilized by irradiation: e-rays.

The product must be used in combination with luer-lock syringes.
Benefits
- Immediate activation: Urotonic Surface Technology reduces friction during catheterism, ensures comfort and reduces the risks of complications in the long term
- Adhesive part to hang the package to any dry and clean surface
- Intravescyclical instillation with LoFric Insti-Cath takes place through a Luer-Lock connection between the catheter and the syringe, preventing losses and payments. The administration of chemotherapy drugs is done through a closed system, eliminating any risks to the patient and health professionals.
- Side holes for atraumatic instillation for better comfort
- PVC free: the POBE, polyolefin elastomer, has a low environmental impact during the entire life cycle1
- DEHP free: no risk of loss of plasticizers
- LATEX free: no risk of allergic reaction to latex
Manufacture materials
Catheter material: polyolefin elastomer (POBE).
Connectors: methylmethacrylate-acrylonitrile-butadiene-stirene (MABS).
Coating material: polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and salt (NaCl).
All materials used are non-toxic, medical and biocompatible materials. Without DEHP, PVC and latex.
Warnings
The LoFric Insti-Cath catheter is disposable. Once used the exclusive surface coating deteriorates and the catheter is no longer sterile. The risks associated with reuse may be: increased adherence, pain, bleeding, urinary tract infections and long-term stenosis and epididymites.
Conservation
Store at room temperature, in a dry place.
Format
Box containing 30 catheters. Each catheter is packaged in single blister consisting of: polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) and plasticized paper.
