Gastrostomy gastrostomy probe
Description
Medical Device EC Class IIb (Directive 93/42 / EEC).
Long-term enteral nutrition. Gastric decompression. G-tube gastrostomy probes are silicone balloon probes used for replacing a pre-existing probe (probe for PEG or previous gastrostomy probe) or as a primary probe during surgery.
Gastrostomy probes are silicone, equipped with graduated notches and characterized by:
Water insufflation road with cap and indication of the maximum fill volume;
route of supply of nutrients with closing cap;
Silicone balloon equipped with a radiopa-line line that allows to evaluate the correct positioning of the probe;
Silicone external fixing disk that allows easy bending;
A quick opening clamp in order to prevent the reflux of nutrients or gastric juices.
The device is free of latex and phthalates.
The product is sterilized by ethylene oxide.
Recommendations
The polyurethane / silicone probes must only be lubricated with water or water-soluble gels. The probes must be washed with 20-50 ml of water before and after administration of meals and medications, at least 3 times a day to prevent the occlusion of the probe. The gastrostomy gastrostomy probe is designed to have a few months. The duration of the probe depends on some factors including drugs, gastric pH, patient gastric motility, duration of use and ordinary maintenance of the probe.
Components
Nasogastric tube: polyurethane (PUR); Polyurethane is a synthetic material equipped with good compatibility and excellent resistance.
Spindle: silicone coated stainless steel.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
