Description
Medical device for short and long term bladder management with intermittent urinary catheterization.
Lofric is an urinary catheter, hydrophilic, disposable, self-lubricating.
The catheter surface is made with the Urotonic Surface Technology: the combination of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and salt (NACL) combined with the addition of water, makes the Lofric catheter coating Isotonic with urine, after activation.
All Lofric catheters can be connected to the standard pockets for the collection of urine.
How to use
1. Wash your hands with soap and water before catheterization.
2. To open the package, remove the tabs on the connector side.
3. Fill the package with clean running water if at home and sterile water or physiological solution in the hospital.
Immerse the catheter for 30 seconds before use.
4. While preparing for catheterization, remove the adhesive and use the sticker tape to fix the product to a dry surface.
5. Remove the catheter.

6. Turn the lips and locate the urethra just above the vaginal opening. With the other hand, insert the catheter slowly into the urethra.
7. When the urine starts to flow, advance the catheter slightly to ensure that both holes are inside the bladder.
8. When the urine flow stops, it slightly extract the catheter gently. If the urine resumes to flow, stop the extraction and wait until the flow stop, to ensure the complete emptying of the bladder. Then remove the catheter.
9. Store the catheter in the package and dispose of it appropriately (local regulations may vary).

6. Lift the penis towards the stomach to straighten the uretra.
Slowly insert the catheter into the urethra without touching it with your fingers. When the urine starts to flow, advance the catheter slightly to ensure that both holes are inside the bladder.
7. Lower the penis when the urine begins to flow through the catheter.
8. When the urine flow stops, it slightly extract the catheter gently. If the urine resumes to flow, stop the extraction and wait until the flow stop, to ensure the complete emptying of the bladder. Then remove the catheter.
9. Store the catheter in the package and dispose of it appropriately (local regulations may vary).

1. Before inserting the catheter, observe where the label is placed on the connector in relation to the curved tip.
It will act as reference to maintain the correct direction of the curved tip during use.
2. Keep the tip curved up towards the stomach during insertion and during the entire catheterization procedure, including extraction. Or follow the specific instructions given by the reference health professional.

Exclusively disposable.
Once used, the surface coating deteriorates and is no longer sterile.
Re-use can cause discomfort, damage urethra or cause infection.
Do not use the product if the sterile pack is broken or damaged.
Urinary catheterization therapy is associated with a greater risk of bleeding, trauma and / or urinary tract infection.
Lofric catheters are to be used exclusively after a medical prescription.
