Descrizione Clinica
Keratosept Pro
Description
Sterile aqueous hydrogel containing: polyvinyl alcohol, lubricating action, moisturizing, viscoelastic, mucoindes, protective; Dexpantenolo, which belongs to the class of vitamins of the B group, homologous of pantenic acid, vitamin tissue nutritious, epithelium protective; Domesticated examination, polyesanide hydrochloride and editated disodium (antiseptics) and other excipients, to be used on eye tissues using histillations.
It is indicated for corneal protection and lubrication or in the event of alteration of the ocular surface and instability of the lacrimal film and in the soothing treatment of symptoms related to inflammatory pathologies also of infectious origin, before and after surgical interventions (eg. Intravitreal injections), even in the case of eye trauma after the use of contact lenses, including patients with recurring eye infections.
The presence of antiseptics in the formulation guarantees the sterility of the ophthalmic solution after the first opening of the vial and is useful in protecting eye tissues from irritations and possible environmental sepsis.
In the device the concentration of polyvinyl alcohol (1.25%) has been specifically designed to guarantee the hydrogel obtained rheological characteristics similar to those of the tear liquid and an effective adhesive property on eye mucosa with effect Lubricant, moisturizing, protective, without causing visual blur.
This hydrogel also ensures a prolonged effect of the components on ocular mucous membranes, favoring the nutrient-vitamin effectiveness, adjuvant for summary.
The methylsulfonylmethane present between the excipients of the formulation, a substance containing biologically active sulfur, does not carry out any specific pharmacology action, but facilitates the absorption of the DexPantenol, thanks to an activation of the Mobile permeability.
Keratosept Pro is an aqueous colloidal liquid characterized by the following chemical-physical properties: it is perfectly transparent and colorless; It is miscible with the tear liquid in all proportions; It has pH values, viscosity, osmolarity perfectly compatible with ocular fabrics and with tear liquid and therefore has a high degree of tolerability.
How to use
Disconnect a single-dose vial from the strip, shake the spout to free it from the liquid and open the monodose vial by turning the flap and simultaneously pulling.
So upside down the vial and hysteril 1-2 drops of the device solution in the lower conjunctival sack of the eye, exerting a slight pressure on the vial body.
It is advisable to repeat the operation 2-3 or several times a day when necessary, with the possibility of using the same single-dose vial, carefully closed, within 24 hours.
Components
Domesticated examination 0.050%, polyesanide hydrochloride 0,0001%, edetated disodium, 5% dexpantenol, 1.25% polyvinyl alcohol, methylsulfonylmethane, sodium phosphate Bibasico, potassium monobasic phosphate, purified water.
