Descrizione Clinica
Lacriben gel
Description
Transparent liquid eyepiece gel based on a high molecular weight hydrophilic polymer of carbossivinyl acid (carbopol 980 nf polymer) with mucoadesive properties. This gel is designed to spread rapidly through the cornea in order to reduce friction and lubricate. The pH and osmolarity are similar to those of the normal tear film. It can be used for dry eye treatment, eye irritation and unstable lacrimal film.
Carbomer is a viscoo-style polymer of acrylic acid having a gelatinous structure that links water. It has the ability to moisturize the epithelial surface and provide structure to the aqueous phase of the lacrimal film in a similar way to natural mucin.
In particular, in contact with the eye the gelatinous structure is degraded by the electrolytes contained in the aqueous layer releasing water in order to increase the layer. Carbomer also has excellent mucoindesive properties that contribute to the high time of stay in the eyes.
Lacriben Gel compensates for tearless insufficiency, relieves the symptoms of irritation deriving from dry eye syndrome and protects the cornea from drying.
Lacriben gel forms a lubricating film with a prolonged contact time: the gel remains on the ocular surface longer than artificial tears, having low viscosity, are therefore requested less applications.
Lacriben gel has a moisturizing and lubricating action on the ocular surface and gives a temporary burning relief and irritation.
Lacriben Gel can also be used by contact lens wearers. Administer before wearing contact lenses.
How to use
Disconnect a single-dose and open it by turning and pulling out the hood.
Instill 1 drop in each eye pressing the singleose slightly.
After use, the single-dose immediately close; The content can be reused within 12 hours of the first opening.
Also indicated for frequent use, several times a day (3 or 4 times or more if necessary) depending on the severity of the disease or doctor's instructions.
Components
Carbomer (Carbopol 980 NF Polymer), sorbitol (Neosorb P20 / 6), sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide 1N, water for injections.
Warnings
The product is only for ophthalmic use.
The product is a single-engine.
Do not use the product if the container is, at the time of the first opening, damaged or not perfectly closed.
During the application, do not touch the eye or any other surface with the container delivery end.
Do not use incompatibility in the event of a note to any preparation component.
In case of disorders during use, suspend the treatment and consult a doctor.
Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated.
Do not disperse the container in the environment after use.
In rare cases, a temporarily blurred view should be observed due to the viscosity of the gel. It is therefore recommended to wait a few seconds before any activities that require a clear view.
Like other eye drops, there is a slight possibility that the product may occasionally cause a slight eye or burning or itching irritation, but usually passes soon.
Storage
Store at a temperature between 2 ° C and 30 ° C.
The content can be reused within 12 hours after the first opening.
Format
30 single-dose vials from 0.6 ml.
