MCT Cream
Description
Food for special medical purposes. Indicated for dietary management of fat metabolism disorders (maldigestion and fat malabsorption), long chain fatty acid oxidation disorders, as well as in the context of the ketogenic diet * in epilepsie Pharmacoresistics and in the rare defects of cerebral energy metabolism, such as the lack of glucose transporter 1 (glut1 defect) and the deficit of pyruvate dehydrogenasis (PDH deficit) and in all other cases which require an additional contribution of MCT fats.
* The ketogenic diets are high-fat and low carbohydrate diets, which simulate the metabolic state of fasting. High content cream of medium chain fatty acids, with sweetener.
Ingredients
Vegetable oil 52% (medium chain triglycerides from palm and coconut fat), water, mustard [Seeds of mustard, water, cider vinegar, sea salt, mixed spices (turmeric, pepper, ginger, garlic, coriander seeds, cumin, celery, cinnamon, raw cane sugar)], wine vinegar, sea salt, pea protein; thickener: Guar rubber; herb flavored oil (sunflower oil with high oleic content, lemon oil); Swimming: Saccharina.
Nutritional features
Warnings
To be used under medical control. Suitable starting from 3 years of age. Not suitable as the only nutritional source. Not suitable for people not affected by mentioned diseases. Do not use parenteral. Contraindications: Not suitable if a metabolic ketouchidosis / acidosis is suspected, decompensated hepatic cirrhosis or a deficit by Acil COA medium chain dehydrogenase (MCAD).
The recommended dose depends on age, body weight and personal medical condition and must be determined by the doctor. MCT Cream must be introduced slowly into the diet as a rapid absorption of large quantities can cause vomiting or diarrhea.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
