CDP-colina from International Literature
CDP-choline (Citidindiphosphocoline or Citicoline) is a molecule present in the body. It is physiologically used as a precursor in the endogenous synthesis of the phospholipids of the nerve cell membrane, as well as participating in the processes of maturation of visual functions. The CDP-colina is also used by nerve cells for acetylcholine synthesis, which is fundamental for the propagation of visual signals. In fact, it is shown that, in the case of altered visual functions, the specific and prolonged introduction of CDP-colina brings an improvement in the transmission of electrical impulses from retina to the brain.
