NOVOX
Description
Medical device for the treatment of ulcerative or traumatic lesions of the skin that facilitates the healing process by creating a microenvironment favorable to the activation of the microcirculation and at the same time unfavorable to the proliferation of pathogens, also exercising a film, protective and barrier action.
NOVOX is in the form of oily gel, contained in monodose syringe with sealing cap, inserted in a polycoupled enclosure sealed hermetically and labeled indelibly.
NOVOX, under medical control, can be used to treat:
- traumatic injuries (e.g. abrasions and lacerations);
- surface, medium and deep burns;
- vascular and pressure ulcers;
- fistulas and wounds not marginalized by surgical operations.
Mode of use
The use of NOVOX is mainly aimed at health personnel with competences on medications. Use can be extended to people without specific skills, with simple training and periodic supervision by health personnel.
Before applying the device, wash and disinfect your hands thoroughly: preferably wear disposable gloves to handle the device.
The NOVOX medical device can be used alone or together with non-adherent secondary medications, or other medicines according to doctor's judgment.
Any injury infection is not a contraindication to the use of the NOVOX device.
For skin lesions, wounds, wounds and ulcers:
- before applying the device, clean the lesion area with physiological solution, sterile water or other appropriate solution.
- immediately before using the device, remove the cap from the syringe by pulling with force and pressing a slight rotation to facilitate the unblocking of the cap;
- apply the device to the lesion until a uniform thickness of a few millimetres (2-4 mm) making it preferably extend beyond the lesion area;
- cover with a non-adherent secondary dressing that can maintain moisture. In the case of particularly exudatory wounds it is recommended to cover the NOVOX layer with an absorbent dressing;
- remove the device by irrigating with saline solution when clinically indicated (e.g. fluid leakage, excessive bleeding, suspect infection, etc.). If the removal of the secondary dressing was difficult, the latter should be completely saturated with saturated saline or sterile water solution and removed slowly;
- the device can be applied 2-3 times a week for up to 30 days. It is however advisable to reduce the frequency of applications as you complete the healing process.
In the case of extensive injuries, use more than one monodose (syringe).
