Treatment of parasitic dermatosis and in particular in that supported by Sarcoptes scabiei (S. hominis).Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients. During pregnancy and nursing, the use of PAF is to be reserved, according to the doctor, to cases of absolute necessity (see section 4.6).Population
The product should be administered exclusively by skin (on the skin). Pour the contents of the bottle in about 150 grams of water and shake for a few minutes with a spoon so as to obtain a milky liquid well homogeneous. Dilute the product exclusively in glass containers avoiding the use of plastic (couch and container). By means of a cotton ball that is soaked of the prepared liquid wet well, with light friction, the whole body (less the head) insisting more on the most affected parts, let the skin dry spontaneously in the air. For the application it takes about half of the prepared liquid, the remaining half is preserved for the second application to be done after 12 hours, with the same methods and taking care to shake the liquid well before using it. It can also be applied on the skin of children. It allows the treatment even without bath as the preparation acts equally and leaves no trace on the skin and/or clothing.Conservation
Store in the original container to keep it safe from the light.Warnings
The response of a parasitic infestation in a member of a family or community may make the infestation suspect in other members; under these conditions a treatment of all members of the PAF group must be diluted in glass containers; avoid contact with plastic materials (container or spoon for the agitation of the solution). The product should not be ingested, inhaled or contacted with mucous membranes, or inoculated. Patients will have to proceed scrupulously to change the underwear and bed linen and clothes worn in the days before the treatment.Interactions
Not known. Interaction studies have not been carried out.Effects
Following the use of PAF, the following side effects were reported: burning with skin redness, itching, dermatitis. Prolonged and/or repeated use of topical products can give rise to awareness-raising phenomena. In this case suspend treatment and establish suitable therapy.Overdosing
No overdose cases are known if properly used as topical (external use). The risk of harmful effects on the fetus and/or the infant as a result of the application of bisbutylcarboethylene is not excluded; therefore, the use of PAF in pregnancy and/or breastfeeding is to be reserved, according to the doctor, to cases of absolute necessity.
