Description
Medical device Class IIa (Directive 93/42/EEC).
To laxative action that, through an osmotic action, regulates the intestine naturally. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, it does not irritate the mucosa and is eliminated in the unmodified form feces.
PediaPEG is particularly indicated in chronic constipation and occasionally irregular bowel cases. Thanks in fact to its affinity for water, PediaPEG softens the feces facilitating evacuation without causing cramps or abdominal pain, nor emergency conditions. Its effectiveness is not reduced over time.
Gluten-free and lactose-free.
Mode of use
From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 0.8 g of product per kg body weight per day.
From 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 1 g of product per kg body weight per day.
Over 11 years (or >20 kg): 10-30 g of product per day.
The dose may be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. The most correct daily posology for age group is to be decided according to the weight of the child and the severity of the stypsis. It is recommended in any case to feel the doctor's opinion for the most correct posology. Use the product in children under pediatric age only after medical advice. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 30 g of the product per day.
On the basis of the posology take the quantity of product with the aid of the mesurino equipped with heels that allow to dose 0,5 g (first notch), 1 g (second notch) and 2 g (mixed meter) of product. Melt a satin scoop (equal to 2 g) in about 1/4 glass of water (about 25 ml). Drink the solution so reconstituted. You can split the daily dose into multiple administrations. The product can be reconstituted in advance in the appropriate water volume and the solution kept in the covered refrigerator up to a maximum of 24 hours. It is recommended to take PediaPEG away from meals.

Warnings
Do not take PediaPEG in case of intestinal stenosis, intestinal perforation, inflammatory diseases of the intestine (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis). Do not take in case of intestinal obstruction.
The oral suspension must be prepared when taking. It is recommended not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses may cause unexpected side effects. Do not use the product for more than 30 days, if symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Do not hire in case of product intolerance. Do not assume in case of hypersensitivity known to components and polyethyleneglycol. Do not use in children under 6 months. During treatment with PediaPEG it is advisable to follow an adequate diet, accompanied by the administration of a solution for oral rehydration (ORS) in order to avoid dehydration, it is recommended to consult your doctor.
In case of overdose, intense pain, abdominal distension, diarrhea and vomiting may occur from which an electrolytic imbalance may result. If adverse reactions occur, please contact your doctor immediately.
Gastro-intestinal disorders, borborigmas, abdominal pain, nausea and read diarrhee (especially at the beginning). Rarely there are reactions of hypersensitivity and allergic reactions (cutaneous, hives). Consult your physician or pharmacist if adverse reactions occur, even other than those listed. In case you forget taking do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next dose.
Keep away from the reach of children. Do not use the device after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not use in case of damaged packaging.
Conservation
Store in a cool and dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Validity of whole packaging: 36 months.
Valid after the first opening: 1 month.
