Description
Medical device able to effectively alleviate symptoms related to swelling of both the stomach (airphagia) and the intestine (metheorism) due to gas accumulation. Watch the associated cramps and pains and prevent flatulence and eruption.
The effectiveness of the device is due to the antischiumogen action of the symeticons, combined with that adsorbent of the activated carbon towards the intestinal gases: action is therefore based exclusively on phenomena of mechanical nature.
The two-layer conformation of the tablet allows to release about 50% of the ingredients in the gastric environment within 15 minutes from the intake of the device, while the complete disintegration of the tablet takes place in the intestinal environment within 1 hour.
The components are not absorbed in the gastro-intestinal tract and do not interfere with the absorption of nutrients.
Mode of use
• Adults: it is recommended to take 1 or 2 tablets at the end of each main meal up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
• Kids from 14 years to 18 years: 1 tablet at the end of each main meal up to a maximum of 2 tablets per day.
Extract the tablet from the blister taking care not to break it and take it with the help of a glass of water.
Components
A bistrate tablet contains: 50 mg of symeticons, 300 mg of coal.
Excipients: maltodextrin, sucrose, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose polyvinylpyrrolidone, colloidal silica, chroscarmellous sodium, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, glycerol stateate, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate vegetable.
Warnings
Do not use below 14 years.
Store the device away from the reach of children.
In case of subjects with difficulty swallowing it is advisable to take the medical device with plenty of water.
Do not use the device after the expiry date shown on the package and on the blister.
Do not use in case of damaged packaging.
Each tablet is disposable and must be extracted from the package only immediately before taking; do not attempt to reuse partially used tablets (shattered or broken) or extracted from blister in unknown times, as this way of use may result in risk of contamination of the product.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Do not use in case of gastric or intestinal lesions known.
Do not use in case of intestinal blockage.
Do not take the medical device in conjunction with other oral medicines or devices: the adsorbent power of activated carbon and symeticons could reduce its effectiveness. Consult your doctor in case of ongoing drug therapies.
Symeticons can hinder the effect of some reagents used in diagnostics, such as gum of sheath.
Intake of the device is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to one of the components.
No sufficient data is available to support use in case of pregnancy or during breastfeeding, in these cases use the device only in cases of real need and only after consulting your doctor.
The recommended doses show a brown colouration of the feces due to the presence of coal. The phenomenon is completely normal and does not imply any pathological significance.
No known side effects are reported in the medium/long term.
The device does not adversely affect sensory capabilities (awareness level, ability to drive or perform tasks).
Conservation
Store the tablets in the blister in a dry place and protected from light sources or direct heat: extract the tablets only during use. Store the device below 25 °C.
Validity of whole packaging: 30 months.
