First Aid Sofargen Spray Medic Powder 10g
Sofargen Spray
Description
Medical device CE Class IIA. Not sterile.
Sofargen spray is a topical spray powder dressing containing light kaolin and silver sulfadiazine at a concentration of 1%. The product remains easily “in situ” and is not influenced by the stretching of the edges of the wound. It can be easily removed by removing the lesion with physiological solution. It is indicated for the local treatment of contaminated skin lesions of small dimensions such as abrasions, escoriations, cuts, superficial wounds and dermatological affections in general.
Mode of use
Activate the tank for a few seconds before use. After a proper detersion of the injury, make sure to direct the dispenser nozzle in the direction of the injury itself to be treated, keeping in vertical position the tank at a distance of about 15 cm from the surface to be treated. Then apply a uniform layer of Sofargen spray on the lesion, pressing the dispenser button for a few moments. The application of Sofargen spray must continue without interruption one or two times a day until complete healing. To each application renewal carefully cleanse the lesion with water or physiological solution. The powder contained in Sofargen spray will tend to remain adhesion to the wound (for the presence of excreted) or to the macerate skin, while on the healthy and dry skin surrounding it will tend to spontaneously remove. Where appropriate or necessary, after applying Sofargen spray, cover the injury with a bandage or bandage depending on its size.
The average time of stay of the dressing is 12-24 hours.
Components
Light 9.8 g; micronized silver sulfadiazine 0.1 g; monohydrate calcium gluconate 0.1 g; butane as propellant 70.0 g.
Warnings
Patients with individual hypersensitivity ascertained to components should not use the product.
It is recommended not to use the product for more than 4 weeks. Consult your doctor in case of incomplete healing or in case you have unwanted symptoms. Protect your face when spraying at the top of your body. Avoid inhaling the nebulized powder. In case of accidental ingestion or inhalation of dust consult your doctor. The powder supplied exposed to light may tend to become brown due to the silver ion present in the formulation. However, this phenomenon does not compromise its effectiveness and safety. Do not apply the product along with liquid or solid disinfectants. Put the cap back to the tank after each application. In pregnant women and early childhood, use the product after medical advice. Sofargen spray should only be used for treating small lesions.
Transitional sensations of burning or irritation may occur, without consequences and rare local reactions of an allergic nature. If undesirable effects arise, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Pressure and flammable container: do not drill or in any way tamper the tank, even to exhausted product.
