Description
Medical device.
Disposable sterile saline solution for washing wounds, wounds, abrasions, burns.
Indicated for: - irrigation and washing during surgery;
- for moistening of treatments, fabrics and clothes;
- for cleaning and rinsing of vescic catheters, stomies, instruments and equipment;
- for filling breathing air humidors.

Mode of use
The amount of solution to use varies depending on the case.

Components
1,000 ml of solution contain:
- sodium chloride in water p.p.i. 9,00 g;
- electrolytes (mmol/l): Na+ 154, Cl- 154.

Warnings
Not injectable. Do not expose the product to the direct action of the sun.
Overdose during wound irrigation and intra-operative application can lead to the absorption of the irrigation solution which in turn can cause hypervolemia in the form of hypotonic hyperhydration (hyponatremia).
Cephalea, nausea, restlessness and disorientation are symptoms of hyperhydration. In serious cases you may have been similar to the coma.
Interventions in case of overdose: interruption of irrigation, correction of the hydroelectrolytical budget according to the particular clinical situation.
Do not use for infusions. Use only if the seal is intact and the solution is clear. Store in closed containers; residual quantities must be eliminated. Reuse of disposable devices creates a potential risk for both the patient and the operator. It can cause contamination and/or reduction of the functionality of the device, which can result in injury, disease or death of the patient. Keep away from the reach of children. Where there is the risk of absorption of large quantities of solution, such as in the case of large cavities or extensive injuries, do not use on patients in hyperhydration status.
In such situations, it must be used with caution in patients with:
– hypertonic dehydration;
– hypopotassiemia;
– hypernatriemia;
– hyperchloremia;
– disorders in which a limited intake of sodium is indicated, such as heart failure, general edema, pulmonary dema, hypertension, eclampsia, severe kidney failure.
NaCl 0,9 % B. Braun should not be used for intra-channel irrigation procedures.

Conservation
Store between -25°C and +55°C, with humidity between 10% and 90%.
Validity of whole packaging: 36 months.
