Description
Food supplement designed for women's health needs during pregnancy and nursing.
Based on folic acid (Quatrefolic) and useful iodine in case of increased requirements or reduced intake with the diet of such nutrients. Supplementary intake of folic acid increases the state of the maternal folate. A low state of the maternal folate is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily supplemental intake of folic acid of 400 mcg for at least one month before up to three months after conception. Folic acid also contributes to the growth of maternal tissues in pregnancy and to the reduction of fatigue and fatigue. Iodine contributes to normal cognitive function. Finally, selenium contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
