Description
Astoren is a food supplement for the prevention and treatment of urolysis, i.e. calculations that form the urinary tract.
It includes the formation of calcifications in the urinary system, usually in the kidneys or in the ureters, but may also affect the bladder or urethra.
Kidney stones are a common state of health.
It has been estimated that up to 10% of all people will develop a kidney calculation during their lives although some people do not experience symptoms. Every year, about 1 person out of 1000 is hospitalized due to the urolysis.
Men are more likely to run into urolithiasis than women, with a risk ratio of 3 to 1, although this gap seems to decrease over time.
People aged 20 to 40 have a high risk of developing calculations.
This risk of urolithiasis increases as a result of urinary stasis due to a reduction or obstruction of the urinary flow.
Men expel less citrate and more calcium than women and probably, this is connected to the highest incidence.
