Indications
Conditions that may benefit from the immobilization or control of the ROM of the knee as:
- traumatic injuries of muscles, ligaments or joint capsule
- hyperextension from neurological or genetic diseases (e.g. Ehlers syndrome - Danlos)
Contraindications
The medical device is safe if used as expected.
Description
Tutor equipped with two side pockets with dynamic spring system anti-hyper knee extension.
Polycentric ROM adjustable in bending (0, 10, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110) and extension (0, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110).
Structure with three padded panels, comfortable and breathable to protect the leg and thigh.
Adjustable upper and lower closing straps.
Removable condiloid bearings.
How to wear
- Brush the straps and open the tutor completely
- Put the padding on. The broader padding refers to the thigh, the narrower ones to the leg.
- Wrap the thigh pads and leg pads. If necessary, use quadrangular padding to wrap the limb completely.
- Laterally apply the sticks through the tear closures so that they are parallel to the limb and the ROM centered on the rotation axis of the knee. The widest perforated plate should be placed at the thigh, the smaller one on the leg.
- Close the brace through the straps starting from those closest to the knee by exercising an adequate traction to prevent slipping.
ROM setting instructions
- Open the security cover
- Set the required flexo/extension by acting on the braces of the tutor
- Lock the tutor in flexo/extension via the pins to be inserted in the holes
- Close the security cover (click)
- Repeat the same operations for the other ROM
Notices and precautions of employment
Store in a dry environment sheltered from excessive heat and light.
Do not extend the use of the product without the advice of the doctor.
The product has been studied for use by one person, not to use it on more people.
The product should not be used in direct contact with skin.
Do not use in case of allergic forms or hypersensitivity to the product components.
In case you encounter problems in the use of the product such as the appearance of pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare provider.
In the event of a serious accident following the use of the product, contact the manufacturer and the health care provider of territorial competence.
It is advisable, for the first time, to place the product from a qualified operator and to autonomously perform the next positionings in the same mode.
Wash instructions
Hand wash in warm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, gently squeeze, let dry horizontally.
Do not bleach, do not dry in dryer, do not iron, do not wash dry.
