PULSE OXIMETER OXY-2
Description
The Pulsoximetro da Dito is a non-invasive device designed for instant control of arterial hemoglobinic saturation (SpO2) and heart rate of adults and children in domestic and hospital environments (including clinical use in internal/surgical therapy, anesthesia and intensive therapy, etc.).
It is not designed for continuous monitoring.
is compact, practical to use and transport and with low energy consumption. The two AAA batteries can be used continuously for 24 hours.
Automatic shutdown when you do not receive signal within 5 seconds.
Low battery indicator as a flashing battery icon.
It is sufficient that the patient inserts the fingertip into the photoelectric sensor of the device and the Emoglobinic Saturation value appears immediately on screen.
Technical specifications:
- Display format: Digital tube display;
- Screen type: LED;
- SpO2 measuring range: 0%-100%;
- Interval heart rate measurement: 30 bpm - 250 bpm;
- Display heart rate intensity: bar display;
- Power requirements: 2 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries; adaptable range: 2.6 V - 3.6 V;
- Power current: less than 25 mA;
- Resolution: 1% for SpO2 and 1 bpm for heart rate;
- Measurement accuracy: ±2% in phase 70%-100% SpO2, and irrelevant when the phase is less than 70%. ±2 bpm or ±2% (select the largest) for heart rate;
- Measurement performance in the presence of weak filling pressure: SpO2 and heart rate are shown correctly when the heart rate-fill ratio is 0.4%. Error SpO2 ±4%, heart rate error ±2 bpm or ±2% (select the largest);
- Tolerance to external lights: The difference between the value detected in the presence of artificial light, natural internal light and that of a dark room is less than ±1%;
- It has a function switch. The Pulsoximeter turns off in case you do not detect fingers in the device;
- Optical sensor: red light (the wavelength is 660 nm, 6,65 mW) and infrared (the wavelength is 880 nm, 6,75 mW);
- Operating environment:
Temperature: 10°C - 40°C
Relative humidity: ≤75%
Atmospheric pressure: 700 hPa - 1.060 hPa.
Note: The optical sensor is a light emitter component that affects other medical devices by applying the same range of wavelengths.
Mode of use
Insert the two batteries into the correct direction and then reposition the cover. Open the sensor. Insert the patient's finger into the rubber coated sensor (make sure the finger is in the correct position), then let the sensor close on the finger. Press the power button on the front panel. Do not move your finger and keep the patient rest while measuring. In addition, it is recommended that the patient not move. The measurement results are displayed directly on the display.
In the boot status of the recorder, press the button and the device is reset.
Nails and the luminescent tube must remain on the same side.
Cleaning and maintenance: Replace the batteries when the battery charge indicator in exhaustion begins to flash.
Clean the device surface before use. Rub with alcohol for medical use first and then dry in the air or dry by rubbing.
Use alcohol for medical use to disinfect the product after use, prevents contamination for subsequent use.
If you do not use the Pulsoximeter for a long time, remove the batteries.
The device must be calibrated with regular maturity (or in accordance with the hospital calibration program).
Do not sterilize the appliance with high pressure.
Warnings
The finger should be placed appropriately, otherwise this may cause inaccurate measures.
The SpO2 sensor and the photoelectric reception tube must be arranged in such a way that the patient's arterial is in a position between the two.
The SpO2 sensor should not be used at a point or on an arto tied with a belt to measure blood or blood pressure or during intravenous injection.
Make sure that the optical path is free from optical obstacles, such as rubberized fabric.
Excessive ambient light can affect the result of the measurement. This includes fluorescent lamp, double red lights, infrared radiator, direct sunlight, etc.
Even a patient’s strenuous action or extreme electro-surgical interference can affect accuracy.
The patient under examination cannot use nail polishes or other cosmetics.
Do not immerse the appliance in any type of liquid.
It is recommended to keep the device in a dry environment. Humidity could reduce the life cycle of the device or even damage it.
Explosion hazard: do not use the Pulsoximeter in environments with flammable gases such as some flammable anesthetic agents.
Do NOT use the Pulsoximeter while the patient is subjected to RM or TAC.
Please check the packaging before use to make sure that the device and its accessories are fully complying with the packaging list, otherwise the device could work abnormally.
Please do not measure this device with paper functional tests for its device information.
Keep the Pulsoximeter away from dust, vibration, corrosive substances, explosive materials, high temperatures and humidity.
If the Pulsoximeter is bathed, please stop using it.
When transported from a cold environment to a warm or humid environment, do not use it immediately.
DO NOT press the buttons of the front panel with sharp materials.
Pulsoximeter disinfection is not allowed with steam at high temperatures or pressure. Do not immerse the Pulsoximeter in liquids. When it needs cleaning, rub the surface with a soft cloth filled with alcohol for medical use. Do not spray liquids directly on the device. When cleaning the device with water, the temperature must be less than 60°C.
Because fingers too thin or too cold could affect the normal measurement of SpO2 and heart rate of the patient, place more thick fingers, such as thumb and average, quite deep in the device.
Do not use the device on children or infants. The device is suitable for children over four years and adults (the weight must be between 15 and 110 kg).
The device may not work for all patients. If you are unable to achieve stable measurements, disable use.
The data update period is less than 5 seconds: this duration is variable according to the different individual heart frequencies.
If any anomaly appears on the screen during the test procedure, extract the finger and reinsert it to restore normal use.
The normal life cycle of the device is three years from the first ignition.
The support cord attached to the product is made of anallergic material; in case a particular group is allergic to the support cord, stop using it. Also, pay attention to the use of the support cord, do not hang it at the neck to avoid injury to the patient.
The device is not equipped with low voltage alarm function, indicating only the battery charge level. Please change the battery when the energy level is exhausted.
The device is not equipped with an alarm function for particularly low parameters. Do not use the device in situations where alarms are required.
The batteries must be removed in case the device is placed for more than a month, otherwise they may lose liquid.
A flexible circuit connects the two parts of the device. Do not turn or pull the connection.
Conservation
Store between -40°C and 60°C. Relative humidity: ≤95%
