Features:
the olive has a good hypotensive action useful in the treatment of hypertension. It is also an excellent effective diuretic to reduce edema in case of water retention problems. Finally, its hypocholesterolemizing action, demonstrated by recent studies, allows to prevent the deposit of cholesterol on the arterial walls. The hypotensive activity is attributed to secoiridoids the main of which is oleuropeoside.
