AURIVIS
Description
Aurivis is a medical device whose main action is based on the osmotic properties of glycerol, which has two important basic features:
- the oily texture that makes it adhere gently to the skin carrying out a protective function.
- hygroscopicity that allows to absorb water from the tissues (osmotic effect) reducing swelling and thus reducing pain.
Lidocaine is used as an auxiliary agent of superficial anesthesia that intensifies the action and further soothes the pain in the ear.
The glycerol, contained in the medical device Aurivis®, softens the cerume, favoring the removal, and, thanks to its hygroscopic capabilities, removes excess fluid from the tissues of the ear duct (osmotic effect), thus determining the elimination of disorders related to the conditions of inflammation of the ear, such as pain and swelling.
Mode of use
1. Wash your hands well and unscrew the cap from the bottle.
2. Tilt the head on one side (or lie on one side) so that the ear to be treated is facing upwards.
3. Gently pull forward and out the ear lobe.
4. Insert the dispenser into the ear and press the bottle on both sides by giving 2 drops of product in the ear.
5. Stay with your head tilted for a few minutes so that the drops can flow into the ear canal.

Concurrent use and interaction with other medicines/medical devices.
Interactions with other products have not been studied. However, it is known that antiarrhythmic drugs exacerbate the side effects of lidocaine: concurrent use can cause serious side effects. Cimetidine, b-blockers, norepinephrine, anaesthetics for inhalation inhibit the metabolism of lidocaine through a reduction of liver flow, bringing increased serum levels of the drug. Barbiturics, rifampin and phenytoin accelerate the metabolism of lidocaine through the activation of liver microsomal enzymes.
Lidocaine increases the effect of the relaxing of the striated transverse muscles. The manufacturer does not recommend the concomitant use of other medicines/medical devices in drops or sprays during use of Aurivis; in case you intend to use other medicines/medical devices in drops along with Aurivis always first ask the doctor or pharmacist. Before starting the treatment with Aurivis, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other othological products or other medicines, including counterfeit products.
After using Aurivis wait at least 30 minutes before using another medicine or medical device in drops for the ears.

Aurivis must be preserved:
- in a cool and dry place, at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C and in a vertical position (avoid to store the product in the refrigerator or to freeze it);

After use dispose of packaging in the appropriate recycling containers.
