Description
Food supplement based on sulphate glucosamine, sulphate chondroitin, methylsulphonylmethane (MSM) and vitamin C, which contributes to normal collagen formation for the regular function of cartilage and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Property
-Glucosamine: is an amino-monosaccaride synthesized by chondrocytes (cells forming cartilaginous tissue) and represents a structural unit of glycosaminoglycans (GAG), natural substances of the cartilaginous connective tissue that mainly perform functions of support and protection.
-Condroitin sulphate: it is the most abundant glycopolysaccharide in cartilage. Being the GAG for its hydrophilic nature, it tends to easily bind the water creating moisturized molecules swelling that give the cartilage tissue the particular characteristics of cushioning: after compression forces quickly change their volume by giving water molecules to the fabric, thus contributing to its lubrication.
-Metilsulfonilmetano (MSM): It is a natural source of organic sulphur in biologically active form. As a quantity present in the body, after calcium and phosphorus, sulfur is the third mineral and almost half is contained in muscle tissue, skin and bones.
-Vitamin C: ascorbic acid contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and normal collagen formation for the regular function of cartilage. Collagen is one of the structural proteins of the cartilaginea matrix and is fundamental along with proteoglycans (GAG aggregates and proteins) to maintain its physiological function.
