Description
Medical device with laxative action, indicated for symptomatic treatment of stypsis.
It promotes peristalsis, helping to have adequate intestinal evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecalomas. It also facilitates the elimination of intestinal gases by reducing the sensation of swelling and abdominal distension.
Dicopeg these are powdered orally.
The macrogol is a high molecular weight hydrosoluble polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake by holding it in the feces. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates evacuation. Accelerate intestinal transit by favoring peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastro-intestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electronic imbalances, if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.
The symeticons is a substance that has the ability to decrease the surface tension of the gas bubbles present in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating the expulsion.
Mode of use
Children aged between 6 months and 12 years (adults/ children ≤43 kg)
- from 6-10 kg: 1 bag per day;
- from 10-15 kg: 1-2 sachets per day;
- from 16-20 kg: 2-3 sachets per day;
- from 21-43 kg: 3-4 sachets per day.
The dose must be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, so as to allow a regular evacuation of soft feces.
The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (60 ml per bag) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning in case you should take the minimum dose (1 sachet per day). For higher doses, divide intake between morning and evening.
Adults and children older than 12 years (>43 kg)
- 2 to 8 sachets a day.
The dose must be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, so as to allow a regular evacuation of soft feces.
The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 8 sachets per day.

Some gastro-intestinal disorders (belly disease, flatulence, abdominal swelling, nausea and fecal incontinence). Diarrhea is a secondary effect to the intake of excessive doses of Dicopeg them and is avoidable by decreasing the intake dose. Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (rash cutaneous) were rarely reported as a result of the use of products containing macrogol. In case, suspend treatment and consult your doctor.
Do not take Dicopeg in case of hypersensitivity known to macrogol or other components, drilling, obstruction or intestinal stenosis, paralytic ileum, severe inflammatory pathologies of the intestinal tract such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and toxic megacolon.
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in case of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in case of severe dehydration.
