After meals, the pH value of the mouth decreases due to the transformation of the sugars contained in the foods in acids.
Elmex Professional caries protection with patented sugar acid neutralizer technology:
-contains 1.5% of arginine, this promotes an increase in pH value in the plaque and helps to restore a neutral environment, thus compensating for the decrease in pH due to food intake;
-help to prevent long-term caries.
During food intake, the teeth are exposed to the resulting acids (from the transformation of the sugars contained in the foods) demineralizing the enamel, with potential formation of caries. Elmex Professional caries protection with neutralizing sugar acids technology not only favors the remineralization of demineralized dental enamel, but also protects it effectively from acid attacks, and therefore from caries.
Its clinically proven formula acts in two ways: its patented Sugar Acid Neutraliser technology helps to neutralize acids resulting from sugars assumed before they can damage teeth; provides 4 times higher remineralization of dental enamel, for stronger teeth (compared to a toothpaste with 1.450 ppm of fluoride).
