Description
Libenar Aerosol, sterile hypertonic saline solution at 3%, is indicated to facilitate the elimination of mucus and secretions and prevent dryness of bronchial mucosa.
Also useful in case of cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasia and bronchiolite.
The use in aerosoltherapy of Libenar Aerosol:
- fuidizes secretions in the lower respiratory tract due to osmotic effect, for example in cases of cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasia and bronchioliti;
- prevents the dryness of the bronchial mucosa.
This 3% hypertonic saline solution for inhalation can be used with pneumatic or ultrasonic nebulizers.
It is recommended to follow the manufacturer’s instructions provided with the appliance.
Mode of use
1) Break the bottle and open it by turning the top.
2) Pour the inhalation solution into the nebulizer.
3) Use the nebulizer according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
N.B. The recommended dose of hypertonic saline solution at 3% per inhalation is a single-dose bottle from 2 to 4 times a day.
Components
Sodium chloride 3 g - purified water q.b. 100 ml
It contains no preservatives.
Warnings
Every bottle should be used once.
Strictly reserved for inhalation.
Not suitable for injections.
Before use, check that the monodose bottle is intact.
Do not use if damaged.
Follow the instructions for use provided by the nebulizer manufacturer.
If there is a tendency to dispersion or hypersensitivity, the solution for inhalation should not be used without the supervision of a doctor.
Do not use with other medicines.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated.
Do not reuse the bottle if it has already been opened: does not contain preservatives, therefore it would risk using a contaminated solution.
In rare cases, temporary irritation (e.g. cough) or reversible constriction of bronchi can occur. Pre-treatment with bronchodilatory drugs is recommended.
If you experience side effects, stop treatment and ask for advice to your physician or pharmacist.
