The medicine is only for external use. Do not use for prolonged treatments. Prolonged and incongruous use of the medicinal product can give rise to allergic sensitization phenomena, resulting in worsening of symptomatology. If this happens, the treatment must be suspended in order to establish suitable therapy. Since the application of Fenazil can delay the healing process, it should not be used for more than 3 – 4 consecutive days on injuries in which this phenomenon is taking place. In the case of solar erythema, do not expose the part, after application, to the sun. If skin rashes occur, irritation phenomena and burning the treatment must be suspended. Fenazil cream Apply the cream with precaution and thin layer when the skin has very extensive abrasions, to avoid a systemic absorption of the medicinal product. The too abundant application of cream on very extensive areas of the skin can determine the absorption of the drug and cause, in particularly sensitive patients, drowsiness. Fenazil Skin Pencil Use only on integral skin. Avoid contact of the Fenazil cutaneous pencil with mucosa, genital parts and wounds. Wash your hands with soap and water after use and close the container well. Important information about some Fenazil cream excipients contains: – parahydroxybenzoate methyl therefore can cause allergic reactions (also delayed) – polyethyleneglic ester of fatty acids which can cause skin irritation. Fenazil Skin Pencil contains: – propylene glycol therefore can cause skin irritation – cetilic alcohol and stearic acid, which can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).Interactions
Avoid the contemporary use of other medications for skin use.Effects
The topical application of promethazine may, in some cases, induce skin sensitization to forms of photosensitization. The use, especially if prolonged, of medicinal products for skin use can give rise to phenomena of sensitization: in this case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor, to establish suitable therapy. Reporting of suspicious adverse reactions. The reporting of suspicious adverse reactions that occur after the authorization of the medicinal product is important, as it allows continuous monitoring of the benefit/risk ratio of the medicinal product. Healthcare workers are required to report any suspected adverse reaction via the national reporting system at the address www.agenziafarmaco.gov.it/it/responsabili.Overdosing
If accidentally ingested in significant quantities, the product may initially cause excitement in children, while in the adult it initially predominates drowsiness. There are no specific antidotes: the therapy is symptomatic (gastric lavanda). There are no restrictions on use during pregnancy and nursing. It is, however, recommended to use only after consulting a doctor.
