Description
Medical device Class EC IIB (Directive 93/42/EEC).
Enteral nutrition for long-term probe. The polyurethane enteral feeding tube (PUR) is provided with lubricated chuck. The device is equipped with ENFit male connector specific for enteral nutrition that allows to connect it to the female ENFit terminal connector of the sets and syringes for enteral nutrition in order to avoid improper connections (ISO 80369-3).
Flocare nose swallows are characterized by:
eNFit male connector with closure cap, compatible with ENFit syringes and incompatible with other attacks (e.g. luer lock) to ensure greater patient safety and avoid improper connections;
three radio stations that allow to evaluate the correct positioning of the probe;
two different graduated heels, of blue colour, with intervals of 2 cm and 1 cm;
distal ends with two side holes and one apical;
spindle (=metal guide wire) coated in silicone to facilitate the placement and reintegration procedure in the probe in order to remove any sedimentations that may be caused by obstruction of the probe itself.
The device is latex free and phthalate.
The product is sterilized by ethylene oxide.
Recommendations
Polyurethane/silicone probes should only be lubricated with water or water-soluble gel. The probes must be washed before and after the administration of meals and medications, at least 3 times a day.
