FOLINGRATION
Description
Food supplement of folic acid, useful in case of reduced intake with diet or increased organic requirements. Supplementary intake of folic acid in pregnant women contributes to the growth of maternal tissues and increases the state of maternal folate. A low state of the maternal folate is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. In women in fertile age the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily supplemental intake of folic acid of 400 mcg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. The development of neural tube defects in the fetus is due to multiple risk factors; intervention on one of these factors may also not have a beneficial effect.
Property
-Folic acid: It is a vitamin of group B that contributes to the growth of maternal tissues in pregnancy: is indispensable for the increase of the maternal red blood cells, the formation of the placenta, fetal growth, uterine, breast and other maternal tissues. In addition to the benefits mentioned, folic acid contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and to the regular metabolism of homocysteine, an amino acid that when present in high quantities increases the incidence of cardiovascular disorders both in women and in men.
Ingredients
Charging agents: dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose; anti-agglomerating agents: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids; folic acid (pteroyl-monoglutamic acid).
