Thanks to the possibility of making a glass of contact with the cornea, through this solution, it is possible to explore the irido-corneal corner and the eyebed. It is also possible, always using the Gel 4000, to carry out with laser interventions of:
- iridotomy;
- iridoplasty;
- trabeculoplasty;
- capsulotomy:
- vitreolisis;
- retinal photocoagulation.
Using the Gel 4000 solution on the probe, the ultrasonography of the eye globe can be performed.

Mode of use
The product should not be used over thirty days after the first opening of the container. The use of the product is reserved for the ophthalmologist.

Description
is a sterile aqueous solution to 2% of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose corresponding, at the temperature of 20 C, to a degree of viscosity equal to 4000 cPs (centipoise). The Gel 4000 is characterized by the following chemical-physical properties:
- is perfectly transparent;
- is soluble in water in all proportions;
- not insoluble precipitated form with metal salts or organic residues, possibly present;
- is stable at pH between 2 and 13.

Components
Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; chloride sodium; sodium mertiolato; sterile purified water.
