KELO COTE GEL
Description
Kelo-Cote Gel is a silicone gel, transparent and self-drying for the treatment of scars. Kelo-Cote Gel dries quickly forming a flexible and waterproof film that creates a protective barrier to chemical, physical and microbial agents and at the same time contributes to skin hydration. This gel creates an environment that promotes the maturation of the scar by normalizing collagen synthesis and improving the aesthetic appearance of the scar.
Kelo-Cote Gel reduces, attenuates and makes scars smoother, relieves itching, discomfort and pain associated with scars and reduces color alterations.
Silicone gels have proven to be effective in treating anomalous scarring in the form of hypertrophic and cheloids. The 2014 International Clinical Guidelines for the management of scars recommend the use of silicones as a first-line elective therapy in the treatment of linear hypertrophic scars and minor cheloids as well as in the prevention of hypertrophic scars.
Expected use: Kelo-Cote Gel is indicated for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic and cheloid scars resulting from trauma, accidental injuries, surgical interventions and burns. Kelo-Cote Gel is suitable for face and body. Kelo-Cote Gel can be used on joints, at the level of the folds and on the hair areas and extended scars such as those caused by important burns or traumas. Kelo-Cote Gel is suitable for use in children with more than 3 months of age and in people with sensitive skin.
Mode of use
Make sure the area is clean and dry. If you use the 60 g tube, remove the cap and aluminum protection before use. For 6 g and 15 g tubes, cut the applicator tip with clean scissors before application. Apply Kelo-Cote Gel on the area using a clean finger twice a day in a very thin layer and let it dry. To achieve maximum effect, Kelo-Cote Gel must stay in contact with the skin for 24 hours. Once dried, products with sun or cosmetic protection can be applied on the affected area. Put the cap back after use.
If Kelo-Cote Gel is not dried within 4-5 minutes, it was probably used too much. Gently remove excess and let the drying process continue. The minimum recommended treatment time is 60-90 days. Larger and older scars can take more time and if the improvement of the scar is visible, it is recommended to extend the use of the product after the first 90 days of application.
Components
Cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, silica, dimethicone crosspolymer.
Warnings
Only for external use. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of Kelo-Cote Gel. Avoid direct contact with eyes, mucosa, third degree burns and open wounds. Kelo-Cote Gel should not be used in dermatological conditions that compromise skin integrity. In case of irritation, stop use and consult your doctor. Kelo-Cote Gel can stain clothing if it is not completely dry. Keep away from heat sources and do not smoke when applying the product or while the product dries. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
