Vitamins and mineral salts Lithosolv 100cpr retard
LITHOSOLV
Description
Food supplement of potassium alkaline salts of particular help in subjects subject to intense liquid loss, such as strong sweating, diuresis or diarrhea, or in patients in therapy with drugs such as diuretics, laxatives or cortisonic.
LITHOSOLV is also able to correct the excessive acid load, which can be evaluated directly through the measurement of urinary pH; this can be done easily through the use of strips attached to the packaging.
Ingredients
Potassium tribasic citrate.
Nutritional characteristics
Mode of use
It is recommended to take two tablets daily, unless otherwise indicated.
LITHOSOLV is to be taken preferably on a full stomach, taking the tablet with a little water.
For different indications (prevention of kidney computation) stick to the prescription.
USE OF pH STRISCE
Collect urine in a container.
With dry hands, take a strip from the transparent sachet and immerse it in the urine for 1 second; extract it and drain the excess urine. The wet part of the strip will assume a different coloring depending on the pH of the urine.
Within 2 minutes compare the color of the strip with the one present on the reference color scale, present in the package.
Read the value corresponding to the color closest to that of the strip.
Disposable strips should be thrown into household waste after use.
Note: any changes in the coloring of unused strips do not compromise their accuracy.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements should not be understood as substitutes for a varied diet.
LITHOSOLV is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkaliemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose of such plasma alterations. These conditions include chronic kidney failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
The contemporary intake of LITHOSOLV and potassium-saving drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could determine hyperkaliemia. It is therefore recommended to monitor the performance of kaliemia.
There are no known interactions with other drugs. Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disorders such as: abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea. The package in tablets can be particularly indicated in these subjects.
Conservation
Store in a cool and dry place at room temperature.
Deadline for storage from the date of production, in integral packaging: 24 months.
