Description
Mastiha is the natural resin of Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia, a tree that grows only in the Aegean island of Chios, Greece, with many beneficial qualities used since ancient times.
Mode of use
To be taken orally.
If you crumble the Mastiha you get a sort of powder, which could be used to aromatize bread, biscuits, yogurt and pastry products.
To get a digestive drink: add 50 g of Mastiha in a liter of water, leave to rest in the refrigerator all night.
The colder the Mastiha, the easier it is to pulverize, without sticking.
Conservation
Store at temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
