Its action is mainly at the adrenal level where it stimulates the bark to release substances that have a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic property, that is why it is said that the Ribes nigrum gemmoderivato has a cortisone-like action (cortisone-similar) without having however toxicity. This is one of the most important remedies that gemmotherapy has and has synergistic action with so many other macerates.
