Helpful in the regenerative process of oral mucosa.
Mucosamin is a medical device with predominantly protective action of oral mucous membranes, manufactured in accordance with Directive 93/42/EEC MDD. The product contains hyaluronic acid, the main component of connective tissue and amino acids intended to promote collagen formation.
Mucosamin, by means of the protective action explicated by the components, is intended to assist the regenerative process of the oral mucosa in order to favor a rapid healing of the areas of ulceration and the contemporary reduction of pain.
The particular spray formulation allows the easy application even in the areas of the mouth most difficult to reach.
Mucosamin is indicated in the ongoing mucousitis of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and combined or concomitant treatments.
It is a fluid gel that can be used to hydrate the oral mucosa on which a protective action is performed.
It relieves the irritative states of the oral cavity, usually caused by mucosites. It reduces sensitivity to external attacks by assisting the process of repairing oral cavity tissue while at the same time promoting the maintenance and restoration of physiological conditions.
Oral mucosite induced by radiotherapy or chemotherapy is a frequent side effect in cancer patients. The damage of the mucosa develops through an initiation phase followed by a phase of amplification of the damage: the result is a phase of ulceration followed in variable times by a phase of repair of the tissue. Oral mucosite is characterized by erythema and recurrent ulcers of mucosa with urent pain of varying severity. Severe mucosite forms have a heavy impact on the quality of life and can compromise the ability to tolerate the programmed therapeutic plan.
Mucosamin, creating a protective layer, acts on the ulcerative phase of mucosite and favors a faster reduction of pain and burning. Hyaluronic acid and amino acids then enter into action in the regenerative phase of mucosite and promote the repair of the oral mucosa.
After cleaning the oral cable, apply a uniform layer over the whole oral cable and the lesion area.
Direct the applicator tip on the areas of ulceration or in any case urent and spray several times until covering the entire area concerned.
It is always appropriate to associate a diet without acidic or spicy foods.
Mode of use
Apply a uniform layer by spraying several times until covering the entire area concerned. The application can be repeated several times a day (three-four) in relation to the extent of symptomatology.

Warnings
It is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity ascertained towards the components. No known overdose phenomena. No known side effects. There are no known interactions with drugs and medicinal substances. Although no secondary effects are known in case of pregnancy and lactation, the doctor is asked to prescribe the application. The expiry refers to the closed and properly preserved product.
