Foods Myrtipeg 20bust
Myrtipe
Description
Myrtipeg acts with osmotic mechanism, holding water at the intestinal level (it prevents absorption by the small intestine) and thus softening the feces. It is not absorbed, it does not ferment and does not irritate the intestinal mucosa. It is eliminated with feces in unmodified form. The treatment of stypsis is therefore achieved through an increase of water in the fecal mass without changes in plasma volume and loss of electrolytes.
Indicated in cases of constipation and cleaning of the intestine before colonoscopy.
Mode of use
Melt a bag into a cup filled with water (at least 200/250 ml) and drink it freshly prepared. It is recommended to take Myrtipeg away from meals. The dose for adults and children weighing more than 20 kg is of a sachet 1-3 times a day according to individual response; in case of prolonged use, the dose can be reduced to 1 sachet 1-2 times a day, even at alternate days, preferably in the evening before bedtime. The adult dose is one/two sachets per day according to the individual response. In case of prolonged use, the dose may be reduced to a sachet once or twice a day, even at alternate days, preferably in the evening before bedtime. The daily dose for children weighing more than 20 kg is to be determined according to body weight: 0.5 g/kg body weight, up to a maximum of two sachets/days (corresponding to a body weight of 40 kg).
For cleaning the intestine before colonoscopy: the quantity must be at least 70 grams in a liter of water.
It is preferable to drink the whole quantity quickly enough, avoiding sipping it for a long time. A fluid-rich diet promotes the effect of Myrtipeg.
Myrtipeg is also administered by enteral. The content of one or two sachets is perfectly soluble in 100/150 ml of water and can be administered in bolo by nose-gaster or PEG. The maximum daily dose is three sachets and the doctor cares for the choice of the amount of water and preparation to administer.
In children, if the disorder continues despite proper food hygiene, stop treatment and investigate for a possible underlying pathology.

Warnings
In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding feel the doctor's opinion. Laxative abuse (frequent or prolonged use or excessive doses) can cause persistent diarrhea resulting in water loss, mineral salts (especially potassium) and other essential nutrients.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to any of the product components. Avoid administration in case of intestinal blockage. Laxatives should not be used by subjects with acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, marked accentuation or reduction of peristalsis, rectal bleeding. The presence of one or more of these symptoms or signs requires adequate diagnostic examination by the doctor in order to exclude one of the pathological conditions that contraindicate the use of laxatives (e.g.: obstruction, stenosis or intestinal perforation, paralytic ileum, severe inflammatory diseases of the intestine). Severe dehydration.
Interactions with medicinal products and other forms of interaction: not reported, but it is appropriate for Myrtipeg to be at least two hours away from taking oral drugs.
Undesirable effects: Myrtipeg can rarely cause abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting. Very rare: hypersensitivity reactions. In case of allergic reactions stop taking Myrtipeg and immediately consult a doctor.
