Description
Normalene Macrogol 3350 is a medical device with laxative action that, through osmotic action, regulates the intestine naturally. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, it does not irritate the mucosa and is eliminated in the unmodified feces. Normalene Macrogol 3350 is particularly indicated in chronic constipation and occasionally irregular bowel cases. Thanks in fact to its affinity for water, Normalene Macrogol 3350 softens the feces facilitating evacuation without causing cramps, neither abdominal pain, nor emergency conditions. Its effectiveness is not reduced over time.
Ingredients
Each sachet (full dose) contains 13,125 g Macrogol 3350. Excipients: silicon dioxide, aroma, sodium saccharin.
Without gluten and lactose.
Mode of use
Unless otherwise prescribed, it is advisable to use Normalene Macrogol 3350 according to the following methods:
Adults, elders and children from 12 years: 1 full dose sachet (13,3 g) 1-3 times a day. In case of prolonged use, the dose can be reduced to 1-2 sachets per day.
Open the envelope along the line indicating "full dose" and dilute the content in 125 ml (about 1 glass of ungased water).
Children from 7 to 11 years: half bag (6,65 g) twice a day.
Children from 3 to 6 years: half bag (6,65 g) once a day.
Open the envelope along the line indicating "half dose" and dilute the content in 62.5 ml (approximately half a glass of ungased water).
Do not administer the product under 3 years.
Warnings
Do not use the product under 3 years. Pregnant or breastfeeding take Normalene Macrogol 3350 only after consulting your doctor. It is recommended not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses may cause unexpected side effects.
For periods of use above 30 days, it is recommended to stop the treatment with Normalene Macrogol 3350 for at least 3-5 days. Do not hire in case of product intolerance. Do not assume in case of hypersensitivity known to components and polyethyleneglycol. Each envelope is disposable and is open only when used.
Contraindications:
Do not hire Normalene Macrogol 3350 in case of:
- intestinal stenosis;
- Perforation of the bowel;
- Inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis).
Do not take in case of intestinal obstruction. There are no experiences on taking during pregnancy and breastfeeding therefore take Normalene Macrogol 3350 only in case of real need on medical advice.
In patients with kidney failure it is not necessary to change the dose. The duration of treatment with Normalene Macrogol 3350 should not exceed 2 weeks. In case of need the treatment can be repeated. Prolonged use may be necessary in case of refractory and/or chronic stips. This stipsis can be caused by the intake of painkillers (opioids) and for the treatment of Parkinson (anti-linergic) or appear in case of diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease that may cause refractory stips.
Undesirable effects:
Gastro-intestinal disorders, borborigmas, abdominal pain, nausea and read diarrhee (especially at the beginning). Rarely there are reactions of hypersensitivity. Consult your physician or pharmacist if adverse reactions occur, even other than those listed. In case you forget taking do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next dose.
Interactions with Pharmacies and Food Supplements:
To date there are no known interactions with drugs but it is appropriate that the intake of the product be spaced at least 2 hours from that of the drugs administered orally since the osmotic power of the Macrogol and the increase in the rate of gastrointestinal transit induced may adversely affect their effectiveness. Consult your physician before taking Normalene Macrogol 3350 in case of other therapies in place.
Conservation
Store in a cool and dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in the original packaging. The indicated expiry date refers to the correctly stored product in an integral package. Do not use the device after the expiry date indicated on the package and on the bag. Do not use in case of damaged packaging. Do not reuse partially used or open envelopes in unknown times, as this way of use may result in the risk of contamination of the product. Keep away from the reach of children. The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging, properly preserved.
