ARGAN OIL
Description
Argan oil [Argania spinosa (L.) Skeels (Fam. Sapotaceae)], plant that grows exclusively in southwestern Morocco. The argan tree is one of the few trees able to withstand prolonged drought and temperatures up to 50°C, lives from 150 to 200 years. From the seeds of its fruits a precious oil is extracted by cold pressure, traditionally used by local Berber populations for its high antioxidant capacity and stimulating skin renewal, irreplaceable in the external treatment of skins devoid of elasticity, senescent, dehydrated and rough. Easily absorbed by the skin, it does not leave a residual greed.
