Food supplement that acts favorably on the physiological well-being of the cardiocirculation system.Olivo (Olea europaea)
From a clinical point of view, olive leaves can be used in forms of low-grade arterial hypertension, where they determine hypotension through a peripheral vasodilation mechanism without causing depressory action on the heart. Fat acids contained in olive extract also reduce blood viscosity and facilitate diuresis. The hypotensor effect appears after 20-30 minutes from administration and increases gradually to determine the disappearance of the hypertensive state.
Passiflora (Embodied Passiflora)
This plant is often used in adults also for the treatment of cardiac erection (palpitations and tachycardies of anxious subjects). In this it has a completely similar use to the hawthorn, to which it is often associated for its activity on myocardium.
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha)
At the heart level, it increases blood supply to myocardial and coronary, resulting in a better tolerance to anxiety. The plant acts on the cardiovascular system on one side by dilating the musculature of the vessels, in particular the coronary ones, so by decreasing the peripheral resistance determines a hypotensive action, on the other by acting directly on the myocardial with a positive inotropic action. The hawthorn manifests positive inotropic properties and negative chronotrope (strength and slows down the contractions of myocardial), as well as positive domotrope (more conductivity), negative batmotrope (more excitable). In particular, positive inotropic action would be due to c-AMP-phosphodiesterase inhibition.
Pilosella (Hieracium pilosella)
Diuretics have the function of increasing urinary excretion. The increase in urine flow causes there to be less "liquid mass" in the blood, and such decrease, creating a decrease in blood volume, causes the pressure to decrease. Pilosella is one of the most diuretic plants for the presence of umbelliferone. It acts directly at the level of the renal tubules, where it stimulates the excretion of water, sodium, chlorine and nitrogenous waste, without in any way irritating the kidneys.
Fumaria (Fumaria officinalis)
This plant is almost always used for its effectiveness in hepatobiliary affection therapy. It is however interesting to note that the Fumaria in association with Pilosella and Biancospino also acts at the level of myocardial helping to control the alteration of heartbeats with alternation of tachycardia and bradycardia caused by lability of the nervous system.
