DescriptionFood for special medical purposes developed for the nutritional support of native preterms or low weight fed with breast milk.
Specifically formulated to strengthen breast milk, in line with the criteria established by ESPGHAN 2010 document for feeding premature births of low weight.
UK to premature milk provides 3.6 g/100 kcal protein. It contains a lipid mixture consisting of triglycerides with medium chain fatty acids (MCT) and DHA.
Maternal milk is the ideal food for native preterms or low weights. Breastfeeding should last as long as possible.
Ingredients
Whey Protein milk partially hydrolyzed*, maltodextrin, triglycerides with MCT medium chain fatty acids (coconut oil, palmist oil) in variable proportion, rapeseed oil, calcium glycerophosphate, orthophosphoric acid calcium salts, orthophosphoric oil fish, phenol, phosphate.
*the enzyme used is of origin not Halal/Kosher.

Mode of use
Before preparation, wash your hands and sterilize the devices for administration. Prepare one meal and administer it immediately.
The dosages shown are indicative and can be modified, according to the doctor's recommendations, depending on the weight and age of premature/low weighted births.
The standard level of fortification is 1 g in 25 ml of breast milk. It is recommended to gradually increase the dose, starting from 2 g in 100 ml of breast milk. After assessing the tolerance in 24 hours, increase the fortification (up to 4 g in 100 ml of breast milk) or follow the instructions established in the hospital.
1. Prepare a device (biberon, syringe or container for enteral nutrition) at a time and administer immediately.
2. If the breast milk is frozen, gradually defrost in the refrigerator (under 4 °C). do not use the microwave, nor leave it at room temperature to deflate it.
3. Shake the breast milk before pouring it into the device.
4. Pour in the chosen device only the required amount of breast milk to be strengthened.
5. Before adding the fortifying, heat the breast milk at body temperature. Do not use the microwave.
6. Add the required amount of Nestlé preNAN fortifying mother's milk FM 85 to the desired amount of warm breast milk (35°-40°C), following the standard preparation (1 g in 25 ml of breast milk) or a specific reconstitution, if provided by the doctor.
7. Close and stir gently until complete dissolution of dust and administer immediately.
8. Never preserve advanced fortified milk after each meal.
9. Open envelopes must be used immediately or thrown.
10. For enteral nutrition: once prepared the fortified breast milk, use it within 4 hours.
Warnings
Improper replenishment can cause risks to the infant health. Never preserve advanced fortified milk after each meal. For prevalent hospital use, use under medical control.
Check the infant during administration, do not leave it alone to prevent it from suffocating.
It's not a complete food. It is not suitable for use in infants with proven allergy to cow milk proteins, lactose intolerance and metabolic congenital diseases such as galactosemia/ glucose- galactose absorption. Do not administer parental.
Conservation
Store in a dry place and away from heat sources.
