Vescic catheter
SILASIL
Description
Vescyclic catheter with foley type, silicone-lattice-silicone, with funnel and special valve for syringes with Luer and Luer-Lock fittings; radiopaca tip.
For post-operative vescic catheterism.
Mode of use
Refer to the instructions for use of the product.
Time of stay: 30 days.
From a clinical point of view, the time of stay in an actual situ is in close relationship mainly with the patient's conditions, such as the concentration and pH of the urine, infections, tendency of the patient to the formation of calculations and deficiency of the metabolism. Depending on these parameters the time of stay may vary from patient to patient.
Composition
The construction material is SILASIL (silicone-lattice-silicone).
Important: the latex layer is located in the inner portion of the catheter, the urethral wall and urine are always in contact with a silicone layer.
Without DEHP, drugs, stopovers and organic tissues.
Warnings
TELEFLEX products are sterilized with gamma rays as standard UNI EN ISO 11137-1:2006; UNI EN ISO 11137-2:2008 and UNI EN ISO 11137- 3:2006. Inscriptions indicating the sterilization date, the relative expiration and the batch number appear clearly on the product packaging.
The sterility is not guaranteed if the packaging is not integrated.
Use immediately after opening the package.
Disposable product not removable.
Chemical-physical incompatibility of materials to substances with which they can potentially come into contact:
- fats and oils, such as vaselline and paraffin oil
- organic solvents such as benzole and ether
- oxidizing materials such as oxygenated water, hypochlorite sulphur
disinfectants containing phenol or similar.
Check the indications dictated by Italian regulations concerning the disposal of medical devices.
Conservation
Store at room temperature, away from direct exposure to light. Prolonged exposure to fluorescent light, sunlight or heat damage the device.
Sterilization duration: 5 years from the date of manufacture.
