Descrizione Clinica
First aid Urgotul 15x20 3pz Urgo
UrgoTul
Indications
Acute and chronic lesions mildly exudatory during granulation or re-epitelization.
• Cicatrization in humid environment.
• Atraumatic and painless removal.
• Stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts.
• Very flexible.
UrgoTul is indicated for the treatment of acute lesions (usts, dermobrations, traumatic wounds, post-operative wounds, etc.) and chronic (Venus ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers) during epitelization or granulation and for the treatment of lesions from bollous epidermolysis.
UrgoTul is available in packs containing single-divided sterile medications, ready to use.
Composition
UrgoTul is a non-adhesive, non-occlusive, non-occlusive lipid-colloid medication, formed by a polyester texture impregnated with hydrocolloid particles (Carbossimetilcellulose CMC) and vaselline.
Mode of sterilization
Radio-sterilization.
Property
Lipido-Colloidale Technology (TLC) is a healing and gelling matrix, an exclusive and patented innovation of Laboratories Urgo.
Its specificity depends on the polymer matrix that guarantees the cohesion between hydrocolloid particles and vaseline in a polyester mesh.
In contact with the exodus of the lesion, the hydrocolloid particles (CMC) freeze and form, in association with the matrix, a lipid-colloidal film that allows:
• the maintenance of a favorable humid environment for scarring;
• stimulation of fibroblast proliferation.
UrgoTul is oily, without being to touch.
It does not adhere to injury or to the surrounding skin.
The removal of the dressing is painless for the patient and atraumatic for the tissues in phase of regeneration.
Instructions for use
Preparation of injury
• Clean the lesion with a physiological solution. If an antiseptic is used first, carefully rinse the lesion with physiological solution before applying UrgoTul.
• Dry the surrounding skin carefully.
• UrgoTul can be cut using sterile scissors to adapt the medication to injury.
Application of dressing
• Remove the protective fins and apply UrgoTul on the lesion.
• Cover UrgoTul with a secondary dressing and fix it with an appropriate wrapping.
• Apply a compressed bandage if it has been prescribed.
Replacement of the dressing
• Change dressing every 2-4 days (each 1-3 days for patients with bollous epidermolysis). UrgoTul can be left in situ up to 7 days depending on the evolution of injury.
Precautions
• Sterile protection must be intact before use. Do not use if sterile protection is damaged.
• If clinical signs of local infection are observed, the treatment can be replaced with an antibacterial medication (UrgoTul Ag/Silver, UrgoCell Ag), depending on your medical advice.
• In case of deep injury or fistula, a part of the UrgoTul dressing should be left visible to allow a simple removal.
• Single disposable packaging: reusing a disposable dressing could expose at risk of infection.
• Do not sterilize again.
Status
Medical device, class IIb.
