Essential oil peppermint ml 0.25; alcohol q.b. 100 ml.

Therapeutic indications

Topical therapy of bacterial stomatitis sensitive to thyrotrics.

Contraindications

Subjects with hypersensitivity known to individual components, especially thyrotric. Subjects of which the predisposition stands out to allergopathies.

Population

Adults: 2–3 applications at a time, 3–4 times a day. Children: 1–2 applications at a time, 3–4 times a day.

Conservation

None.

Warnings

In the early childhood the product should be administered in cases of actual need and under the direct control of the doctor. In case of non-response within two days of the start of administration, stop the treatment for the possible colonization of strains or fungi (especially Candida) resistant to thyrotric. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to phenomena of sensitization. In this case it is necessary to stop therapy and to establish suitable therapy. Analogue behaviour must be observed in case of development of nonsensical microorganisms. Keep out of reach of children.

Interactions

In view of the low doses administered, there are no serious interactions with other drugs.

Effects

With the use of thyrotrics, tongue blackouts were reported, rarely glossed and sensitization reactions which, however, regress with the interruption of treatment. More relevant may be symptoms of anaesthetic sensitization, including muscle disorders, seizures.

Overdosing

There are no known manifestations of overdose toxicity.

In pregnant women the product should be administered in cases of actual need, and under the direct control of the doctor.
