Thermometer without contact
Description
Medical device CE Class I.
Contactless thermometer measuring body temperature (and surface) in only 3 seconds hygienicly, precise and safe. Thanks to the light pointer, it allows precise and correct measurement even in the dark. Equipped with Silent Glow technology, alarm fever (lights red if the temperature exceeds 37.4 degrees). It is multifunctional because, in addition to the body temperature, it measures the surface temperature of objects and the environment.
Clinically tested. It has 30 memories. Backlit display with date and time.
Type: NC 150 Digital Thermometer Not Contact
Measurement range:
- Body mode: 34,0-42,2°C/93,2-108,0°F
- Object mode: 0-100,0°C/32-212,0°F
Resolution: 0.1°C/°F
Measurement accuracy: ±0,2°C, 36,0~39,0°C / ±0,4°F, 96,8~102,2°F
Operating conditions:
- Body mode: 16-40,0°C/60,8-104,0°F
- Object mode: 5-40,0°C/41-104,0°F
Mode of use
Temperature measurement in body mode
1. Press the ON/ button/OFF. The display will be activated and will display all segments for about 1 second.
2. The "°C" or "°F" flashing and a short sound signal (beep) will indicate that the thermometer is ready for AK measurement.
3. Point the thermometer at the centre of the front at a distance not exceeding 5 cm. If the forehead is covered with hair, sweat or dirt, removes these obstacles to improve measurement accuracy.
4. Press the START button and make sure the blue light pointer is addressed to the center of the front. After about 3 seconds a long beep will indicate that the measurement is finished.
5. Read the temperature measured on the display.
Temperature measurement in object mode
1. Follow the above in points 1-2, and point the thermometer at the center of the object of which you want to know the temperature at a distance not exceeding 5 cm. Press the START button. After about 3 seconds a long beep will indicate that the measurement is finished.
2. Read the temperature measured on the display.
Normal body temperature values:
- Axle: 34,7-37,3°C/94,5-99,1°F
- Oral: 35.5-37,5°C/95,9-99,5°F
- Rectangle: 36,6-38,0°C/97,9-100,4°F
- Microlife NC 150: 35,4-37,4°C/95,7-99,3°F
Cleaning and disinfection
The cleaning of the probe and thermometer can be done with a cotton cloth slightly soaked with alcohol (isopropyl alcohol 70%). Make sure no liquid penetrates inside the thermometer. Never use abrasive substances such as solvents or immerse the thermometer in liquid substances. Do not scratch the surface or the thermometer probe.
Warnings
Follow the instructions for use: read them carefully and keep them. Use the device as described in the user manual. Never immerse this device in water or other liquids. For cleaning follow the indicated in the section Cleaning and disinfecting of the manual. Do not use the device if you think it is damaged or if you notice something strange. Never open the device.
A physiological condition called vasoconstriction can intervene in the early stages of fever causing an effect called "cold skin". The temperature measured on the front during this phase can be unusually low. If the measured temperature does not reflect the patient's condition or is unusually low, then repeat the measurements every 15 minutes, or compare the results with another measuring device. This device is built with delicate components and must be treated carefully. Observe the storage and operation conditions described in the chapter "Technical specifications". Make sure that children do not use the device without supervision of an adult; some parts are small and could be ingested. Do not use the device near strong electromagnetic fields such as cell phones or radio installations. Maintain a minimum distance of 3.3 m from other devices when using this device.
Protect your device from extreme temperatures; shocks and falls; contamination and dust; direct sunlight; warm and cold. Remove batteries if the device is not used for a prolonged period. The measurement obtained with this device is not a diagnosis. It does not replace the consultation of your doctor, especially if the result is not corresponding to your symptoms. Do not rely only on measurement, always consider other symptoms that may occur and the general state of the patient. If necessary it is recommended to call a doctor or ambulance.
Before measuring, patients and thermometer must remain in the same environment and under the same conditions, for at least 30 minutes. Do not measure body temperature during breastfeeding or immediately afterwards. Do not use the thermometer in a very humid environment. The patient should not drink, eat or exercise before or while measuring the temperature. Do not move the thermometer from the measuring area before hearing the sound signal indicating the term of measurement. 10 short acoustic signals (beep) and red backlit display will alert the patient that the measured temperature is equal to or greater than 37.5°C: fever alarm. Do the measurement in the same area as the temperature varies when the measuring point changes. Doctors recommend for children from 0 to 6 months the rectal temperature measurement as all other methods can give unreliable results. In case of use of this thermometer for children from 0 to 6 months we recommend that you always perform a rectal measurement of body temperature.
In the following situations it is recommended to perform at least three surveys taking the highest as reference:
1. children under 3 years of age and with immune system problems where the presence or absence of fever is a critical element;
2. when the user is learning or has not yet sufficient experience in using this thermometer or has doubts about the measurements made;
3. when measurements are considered too low.
Body temperature measurements in different areas of the body cannot be compared to each other as the body temperature varies according to the measuring point and the time it was performed. The temperature is higher in the evening and lower about an hour before awakening.
Conservation
Store at temperature between -20°C and +50°C, with 15-95% of relative maximum humidity.
