Descrizione Clinica
Thermometers - traditional thermometers - temperature devices
CA-MI
T-PLUS
INFRARED THERMOMETER
Description
Medical device Class IIA (Directive 93/42/EEC).
Conical design with steps: captures and concentrates infrared by improving the measurement. Prevents errors caused by incorrect positioning. Indicates to the user when the positioning is correct.
Minimizes systematic errors caused by changes in ambient temperature.
Visual and sound fever notification: triple backlight and 3 different buzzers to indicate different temperatures.
Measurements in 1 second.
Detects body temperature, and surface temperature.
Terms of use
- Temperature: 15°C-40°C
- Humidity: 15%-93% R
- Pressure: 70-106 kPa
Power supply: 2 1.5V AAA alkaline battery
Automatic shutdown: 30 seconds
Measurement range
- Body temperature mode: 32°C-43°C (89,6°F-109,4°F)
- Object temperature mode: 0°C-100°C (32°F-212°F)
Minimum unit used: 0.1°C / 0.1°F
Accuracy
- ±0,2°C, in the range between 35°C-42°C
- ±0.3°C, outside of that range
Mode of use
Body temperature measurement
1. Press the power button to activate the product and start the front temperature measurement.
2. Point the sensor at the center of the front at a distance less than or equal to 3 cm.
3. Press the button to perform instant measurement.
If the distance is greater than 3 cm, the product does not measure the temperature and a flashing error message appears on the screen and invites the thermometer to approach ( progressively). Bring the thermometer to the right distance and the measurement will be completed.
A warning signal is issued and the measurement result appears on the screen.
Continuous measurements cannot be made at intervals less than 5 seconds.
Surface temperature measurement
In ON/ mode/ When the product is on, press the ignition button for 3 seconds: the thermometer will enter object temperature mode and on the right side of the screen will appear the symbol “mod. object temperature”. In this mode you can measure the ambient temperature or objects. To maintain measurement accuracy, do not use the product for front measurements in this mode.
Regardless of the mode in which the device is located before its shutdown, the default setting is always the front one when it is turned on.
Cleaning
- Probe: if there are dust or dirt on the sensor or on the groove, clean with a cotton-fioc soaked with denatured alcohol. (Attention: do not place the product under a water stream to wash it).
- Body: clean the product by passing a clean and dry cloth to avoid scratches. (Attention: do not clean the body of the product with water). Caution: Due to the particularly sensitive technology in the detection of infrared temperature, dust and dirt residues can not only affect accuracy of measurement, but also cause bacterial infections. It is recommended to carefully clean the product after each use, as indicated above.
Warnings
Check the product before use. Do not use the product if damaged. The use of the damaged product can cause injuries, incorrect results or serious damage. Avoid approaching the product to the fire or heat sources that could blow up the batteries. If you need problems with the product, installation, maintenance or use, contact the manufacturer and/or distributor. Do not open or repair the product itself. Please contact the manufacturer and/or distributor in case of abnormal situations.
The infrared thermometer has been tested and result in compliance with the standards for electromagnetic disorders (EMC) of health products. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference within a typical medical installation. Do not use the product in conjunction with other high-level electromagnetic emission devices.
The product should only be used to measure body temperature. It cannot be used for diagnosis or continuous measurements in surgical operations. The product cannot be used for self-diagnosis and therapy: follow the medical instructions. The main material of the body of the product is plastic. Pay attention to potential allergic reactions to the material. Do not use on infected wounds. Do not touch the infrared sensor and do not blow over with your mouth. Ask doctors and/or specialist medical staff, how to interpret the results of measurements carried out with this device. Do not use mobile phones near the product. Do not use equipment that generate electromagnetic fields near the product. The use of heating or cooling devices, such as blankets or thermal cushions, or ice bags, may alter the correct functioning of the product and entail a further risk for the patient. Do not store the product in direct sunlight, in warm, humid or dusty environments. The performance and proper functioning of the product may be altered. Do not disassemble or repair the product independently (changes included). Do not clean or implement maintenance operations during use. Wait 30 minutes before use in case of sudden change of the environment (e.g. by switching from a zone with direct sunlight to one with air conditioning), or the accuracy of the device may be modified/altered. Degraded sensors and electrodes, as well as loose electrodes, can alter the performance of the device and cause other various problems. Do not open the battery compartment near any potential source of trigger that could inflam the batteries and cause a fire. Remove batteries in case of long periods of inuse. Keep the product out of reach of babies, children and pets. Ingestion and/or inhalation of the small parts contained in the device is dangerous and may also be fatal.
The patient is intended as an operator. Under normal circumstances, the patient can measure and change the battery and maintain the device and its accessories as described in the user manual. Children should not use the product. Children up to twelve years can use the device only with the supervision of an adult. Children under 12 years old and/or people with disabilities limiting their ability to understand and use products like this, should not have access to the device and can only use it with the supervision of an adult with full mental faculties. Do not force the device to bend, compress or twist the device. Do not drop the product and do not subject it to strong blows. Do not subject the product to sudden and extensive heat changes. The performance of the product may be altered by the following causes: use or storage outside the recommended temperature and humidity; patient temperature below the ambient temperature. If the device has been stored at temperatures below zero, heat it naturally at room temperature before using it. Clean the sensor before storing the product.
Conservation
Store at temperature between -25°C and +60°C, with relative humidity 60 months.
