Cica-Care
GEL IN SILICATIONDirections:
soft silicone, self-adhesive and semi-occlusive dressing consisting of silicone for health use reinforced by a support membrane. Indicated both for the treatment of recent or pre-existing hypertrophic scars and cheloids, both for prophylaxis and prevention on closed wounds (suturated).
How to use:
wash your hands before and after use. Gently cleanse the scar and pericipal skin with mild soap and rinse with hot water. Dry thoroughly the scar and pericipal tissue.
Once you cut the right size sheet for the scar to be treated, apply the adhesive side on the scar.
It is self-adhesive, but it can also be kept in place by a light elastic bandage or a bandage. To better get used to the skin, apply for 4 hours for the first 2 days, 8 hours for the next 2 days and increase the application time of 2 hours per time, until reaching a maximum of 24 hours a day.
Warnings:
in some patients an erythema was observed on the skin covered by the dressing. This problem has been attributed to poor hygienic conditions or medication applied with excessive compression. If an erythema appears, reduce treatment with Cica-Care to 12 hours, followed by 12 hours of rest. If erythema persists, stop treatment and consult your doctor. On suturated surgical wounds, Cica-Care should be applied only after removal of the stitches and the subsequent closure of the wound.
The use is contraindicated in patients who have pathologies that can interfere with the correct application of the product and in patients with dermatologic problems that could make the skin in contact with the product more fragile and able to irritate.
