SCREEN CHECK TEST
sperm count
Description
CE 0123 in vitro diagnostic medical device.
Exclusively for self-diagnostic use in vitro.
The rapid test for Sperm Concentration is a biochemical examination for the in vitro qualitative estimate of sperm concentration in the human seed, as an auxiliary method in the clinical diagnosis of infertility and/or planning of a pregnancy for autodiagnosis of sperm count above or below the concentration required to obtain a pregnancy
Precautions
1. This kit can only be used as an in vitro diagnostic device for individual use using human seed as a sample and can not be used with samples of other organic fluids.
2. The kit must be kept at room temperature, avoiding areas of excessive humidity. If the sealed package is damaged or open, please do not use the test.
3. Once the test pack has been opened, the test should be used as soon as possible, to avoid exposure to the air for long periods that could lead to a malfunction of the test.
4. This kit is designed to be used only as a preliminary test and repeated abnormal results should be discussed with the doctor or specialist.
5. When pouring samples, coloring solution and washing solution, avoid bubble formation because this could adversely affect results.
6. Make sure to follow the timing instructions correctly in running the test and observing the results.
7. The kit should not be used beyond the printed expiration date on the external packaging.
8. DO NOT remove yellow-clear liquefaction powder from the bottom of the sample collection container. The powder is located there to facilitate the liquefaction of the sperm sample.
Sample collection and preparation
1. Before carrying out the test it is important to refrain from sexual activity for 3-7 days. This will ensure that the volume and quality of sperm is maximum and the test will provide an accurate sperm count assessment.
2. The seed must be collected directly in the collection container, through masturbation.
3. Be careful that the seed is not contaminated by contact with the hands or tissues or other material.
4. Gently pour the seed into the collection container and let it rest for 15 minutes at room temperature, until it liquefa.
Do not use preserved seed for over 12 hours.
Instructions for use
1. Remove all objects from the sealed packaging and place them horizontally on a flat surface. Using the pipette provided in the package, pour a drop of seed into the well indicated by the letter "A".
2. When the seed completely entered the "A" well, pour three drops of the blue coloring solution into the "A" test cockpit. Allow to rest for 1-2 minutes.
3. Now pour two drops of transparent washing solution into the "A" well and let it rest for 1-2 minutes, then read the results immediately.
4. Read the color of the "A" well by comparing it to the reference one "B". The more the color of the A well will be dark, the higher the Sperm Concentration.
Reading results
Compare the color of the A well with the reference B.
NORMAL: the color of the pot A is darker or equal to the standard color of reference of the well B. It means that the sperm count is greater or equal to 15 million/ml. The possibility of conception is high with this sperm count, subject to other conditions, as a favorable ovulation.
ANOMALO: the color of the pot A is clearer than the reference standard B. It means that the sperm count is less than 15 million/ml. This is known as oligospermia. The possibility of conception is lower with this sperm count and a doctor's advice is recommended.
NOTE: If the pot A does not color, it means that the sperm count is less than 5 million/ml or zero. This condition is known as azoospermia or oligospermia. If you are not sure of the result or are considered unpredictable, repeat the test using the second test included in the package but making sure you do not ejaculate through any sexual activity for 6 days before performing it. If even the second test is abnormal, discuss the results with your doctor or specialist.
Limits
1. For qualitative assessment in vitro of the sperm concentration in the human seed.
2. The sperm count is just one of the important fertility tests.
Other seed tests, such as motility and morphology, along with female ovulation, are equally important. For cases of infertility, it is recommended to also consider other tests.
Conservation
The test must be kept at ambient temperatures (2-30°C) in its sealed packaging until the expiry date. The test must be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat. Don't freeze.
Format
Pack containing 2 pieces.
